what the hell does Tookah mean?

according to Torrini, “Tookah” is a made-up word that carries the weight of multiple meanings and holds a revered significance to the musician.

“It is the core of you. The ‘you’ when you were born before life decorated you like a Christmas tree with all your baggage. It is what connects us with everyone and everything,” she explained. “Some call it god. I call mine Tookah.”

i really love this music video, im obsessed with creepy/sureal but not scary stuff, the way she nearly always keeps camera eye contact, the way her face and eyes go out of focus and her eyes catch the light when she retreats- its so cool.

"Uncanny Valley" is a concept that describes the zone of perception where the human brain feels uncomfortable about a CGI face. When a face is designed to be very cartoonish, like Pixar or Dreamworks cartoons, our brain just deals with it very well. When it sees a real face it also deals with it properly. However, when the face is designed to be close or even a reproduction of a real face, then, our brain just feels uncomfortable about it. It's called "uncanny valley" because, if you draw a graph with "realness" of the face and "comfort level", when you get close to the real thing, the comfort level drop abruptly, creating a valley. In this case, the face of Emiliana, is really close to the real thing, but still you can tell that is CGI. The eyes, the lips movements, etc... So, in this case, we say that this CGI is in the uncanny valley. Not a negative thing at all, it's just what it is. Nice video though. I love it!
