no this song isn´t about abortion, its about poverty, homeless and the coldness and how she only wants to end her sons suffering becaus he is freezing ( dying becaus of the cold) i was uppsest with this song so i researched

I know men who giggle. Also, when the man you are in love with giggles, fo course it would seem sweet to you, right? If someone you care for is not doing well, I would think you would try to comfort them and cause them to feel restful. By "mature" adult relationship, do you mean one that is always serious and not gentle, caring, and loving?

It would make sense for both her lover and her child. However, the child would not be a baby I think, because of the line 'Take my hand we'll run up that tree'. I didn't think about it being her child before I read your comment though, thank you for the expansion of knowledge.
