Trevor Packard totally agree. I love this song, but I still can’t shake the feeling that the clean section should’ve had more going on other than the guitar and occasional drum hit. Could’ve been so much better. But regardless, still a great song imo.

This fucking DSCVR are just a reminder of what good music actually sounds like. I’d die happy if I never had to hear another ad from them.

Tool unfortunately will never be as good as they were they have reached that point where they are no longer relevant or care to show how out of touch they are. I think this happens to a lot of bands who get successful in trade of success they lose any type of commonality with the people whom the music was originally intended. Luckily though every once in a while we get a band like Tool that writes to us humans and not to some ideal of a messianic star species.

It's a 7 beat time signature with the exception of the chorus and the long bridge which is your usual 4 or 8 beats. Idk the technical terms (like 7/8, 4/4, whatever ?) but you get the idea.

I can do the opening until the double kick comes in with the toms. Who else falls apart around that part? LOL.

@CJ Judging from how bad the vocals on the new album were, I'd say Maynard's vocal performances are either completely half assed at this point or his vocal chords aren't quite what they used to be.

For some reason the whole slow portion with the faint yelling in the background is so similar and it bothers me.
