Paramore and Tonight Alive are completely different!! Jenna sings much higher than Hayley, although Hayley does have more range. Also, Tonight Alive's songs are not as angry as Paramore's and focuses a lot on highlighting Jenna's voice. Paramore also has more intricate guitar and drum parts. They're both great bands but people really need to stop comparing them...

how long has paramore been in the industry? she only just turned 20 so she and the whole band can only get better from here...unless they break up of course. it really seems like every pop punk female singer sounds like the lead singer of paramore or at least similar. i suggest taking your hate to someone who cares mate

considering she just turned 20 i'm not surprised her lyrics are not as good as someone who's been in the industry for a long time. that said, she is still bloody good and can only get better

who the fuck cares if they sound like paramore or not! this is an immense song and the band are absolutely sick! not forgetting Jenna McDougall is a complete stunner compared to Hayley Williams!

I can't help but disagreeing. This is, musically speaking, so fucking alike Paramore that it could actually BE Paramore. I haven't heard that other band you're speaking of, though. Lyrics isn't really any good though, but I don't care. I like this aswell.

Every time there's a female-fronted band in this genre they immediately get compared to Paramore. Even if they sound nothing alike. I agree with the comment that said if anything, Tonight Alive sounds closer to We Are The In Crowd than to Paramore. Still, I wouldn't even really compare those either. That being said, Paramore really does kick this band's ass lyrically. (Not that I'm saying I don't like Tonight Alive.)

The reason why it kinda sounds like paramore is because the tuning is in drop D and the rhythm guitar is almost the same

@Kiittayyy No they really are that good. Saw these guys live in Toledo last Sunday with Before Their Eyes, Breathe Carolina, We Are the In Crown, and Forever The Sickest Kids. Jenna is an amazing singer and the one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. They actually sound extremely good live, too.

i saw and heard of this band just last night! right away, i loved them. they're amazing when they play live. they were opening up for sum 41 at the glass house. and after the show was over, i met and i took a picture with jenna! she is so sweet. she also signed my phone! :P
