on 8.11.2016 my dad died. it was a year ago, and I'm crying now, because I just miss him so much. I want to hug him, ask how is he doing. god, I regret that I didn't talk with him much. and I think I know what that girl with frame feels like, even if I don't know her story. aand I want to say that she is so freaking strong.

Love the video concept! It was so good. I loved seeing all the different interactions of dad's and their daughters. I did feel sorry for the girl who just had her father in a photo frame, but well done for including it to remind us that not everyone still has their fathers.

Dear God I see my Grandad in this. It's been 6 months, and I really think I should show this to my mum. I'm a daddy's girl but I was a granddad's girl too. And I stand by what I said at the the funeral. Every little girl needs a grandad.

This song is the best thing that has happened to me all year. I can't begin to explain how beautiful it is, and it feels particularly poignant to me right now. I lost my Dad 10 years ago but I almost feel like this is exactly what he would say to me right now. Things have been pretty crazy. I just graduated university and found myself in a job that I didn't really want. At the same time I came out of the most significant relationship of my life so far. Everything changed all at once, nothing in my life is how I thought it would be. I guess I learnt the hard way that plans are just plans, and you can't take them for granted. The thing is I'm fucking terrified. I have known since I was Bess' age that I wanted to write. I used to dictate stories to my Mother and she would write them out for me before I could even write myself. But I've grown scared, scared I'm not good enough. Scared I don't have words the world would want to read. Scared of being alone. Scared of the idea of falling in love again. I can't solve these problems in minutes or hours and that scares me too. But maybe I can throw the fear... Maybe I can build my castle in my own name.

Taking part in this with my step dad really brought us closer. We love each other but don't really have a lot in common so it was nice to do something together :)
