A Visual song. Make's you feel like you were right there witnessing it all go down, at some crazy southern small town gathereing.

BEAUTY!!
Miss You Tom .!¥¶∆√youll be back Sometime sooner than later
heartbreakers best song right here
This is not the normal Heartbreakers lineup from the time. There are studio musicians because, according to this piece, the song was left over from Petty's solo album recording. http://somethingelsereviews.com/2014/03/18/into-the-great-wide-open-tom-petty-and-the-heartbreakers-strangered-in-the-night-1976/
Anthony Pioppi. Correct. Drummer is the once-great Jim Gordon, just before his schizophrenia destroyed his playing ability. The disease led him to kill his mother in 1983 because he heard voices telling him to do so. Real sad. He's still in a mental facility, likely forr life.
Daniel Golus on the caption the drums are credited to stan lynch
Happy Birthday Tom
Fuck, Campbell can shred.

Dwight Twilley must be playing and singing on this ..Not googled it yet
Naw, I sure haven't.,but I will give it attention
It's a great documentary. You will learn so much about the history of the Heartbreakers and Petty. Also, the biography written about Petty by Warren Zanes (formerly of the Del Fuegos) is really worth reading. Check it out.
Well, the video of Dwight Twilley with Tom playing bass was actually filmed at a Saturday morning television show in Tulsa. Both Petty and Twilley were signed with Shelter Records at that time. Shelter had a studio in Tulsa. That is where they met. Twilley asked Petty to perform with him. They continued to collaborate a lot over the years.
He gave Twilley a writing credit for this one
I had the same thought the minute the song started.
Have this LP.
Saw him Aug '77 Tower Theater, Phila, Pa. Opened for RUSH. RIP Tom!
Wow, Holy Sh** My TWO Favorite Bands of all time! RIP Tom!
I like Dwight Twillys "Im on Fire" better, but RUSH yeah say no more
Supposedly a true story about a shooting in a bar that Petty actually witnessed.
I'm back in the late 70s and early 80s once more! Thank you Tom for all the great tunes you gave us during your time on this earth.
THIS GUY IS AMAZING ❗️❗️❗️🤗
What was up with up with the bandolero around Tom's shoulder on the album cover? Some kids may have though he was Heavy Metal. I think this is a good song.
Good song!
Colton Goff456 great song !!
Classic! Tom and the boys at their best!
