I think this is just a reworking of John Michael Talbot's song HOLY IS HIS NAME. The way it started out I thought it would be different. I'm searching for what was sung in the Catholic Church, in particular but even after the Reformation, for the Magnificant.

Okay. I don't get why people(the catholic) worship Mary. She herself claimed to be a servant(somebody who serves) of the Most High. And no prophet prophesied about her being a god. So why???

@Michael Essel If we pray to her, we ask her to pray for us. By her intervention, our wishes can be granted. To make things seem more clear, let me ask you this question: do you know the wedding at Cana?

@Tribute and Music Video Center Jesus himself said, "no one comes to the Father except through me." We can SPEAK to God through prayer because he is an omnipresent Spirit. Mary has no such qualities. She is human just like us. Therefore, there is no way for your prayers to reach her ears. The blessed Mary herself would be disgusted if she knew so many people held her to the height that they do. No where in the Bible are we told to pray to anyone but the Lord. The wedding at Cana is simply the story of a mother pushing her child just like any other human mother would do. There were plenty of other people in the Bible who pleaded to Jesus and he listened to them. Do you also pray to them? It is perfectly okay to ask other humans here on earth to pray for us but we are crossing a line when we talk to the dead who are in Heaven because they cannot hear us. If we assume they can hear us, that is blasphemous because we are giving them the quality that only God has. That quality being omnipresence.

@Rachel Heslip Can we please set aside our differences so we can pray for something very important? Brother/sister, please pray for Mindanao, the southern part of the Philippines, because three earthquakes (each with the intensity of 6) hit it. Please pray for Mindanao. Please. People are dying, losing their loved ones and friendd, getting injured and losing hope.

Coming in the Catholic Church at 58 years old, a Protestant of 38 years and a Baptist Deacon of 20 years, I did not understand this thing with Catholics and Mary. My God father to be said look at Rev Ch 12 and think of Mary. I look at rev 11:19 and ch 12 and cry out my God Mary is the queen of heaven. Next Sunday I gone to my 1st mass and became a Catholic in 2011/30/07.

My teacher 👨‍🏫 keeps putting this song on when we do religion or when we pray.
Every time she puts this song on I start to cry because it’s really nice and relaxing.
I always sing along with my class.My friend Maya she always sings out loud so
people join in and remember the words.In church we would sometimes sing this
Because it’s so beautiful and peaceful and at least nobody speaks during this song.
Once when we were in the church someone was singing so loud the principal turned
the music off.😁People were like saying “nooooooooo please don’t turn it off we want
to sing 🎤 “”. But the principal didn’t hear us say anything. God bless all those who need

This was beautiful! I am a big fan of the Magnificat, and I love the traditional tunes by Bach and Mendelssohn, but this one was a great contemporary adaptation. I am also a big fan of the traditional translation of the passage from Luke, but your modern translation has won me over. Todd and Christy, great work -- or should I say, great worship. There's another song by the same name as this one (I think it has the same name). Anyway, I haven't been able to find a recording of it anywhere. It has four different parts (Bass, Tenor, Alto & Soprano) all of which have different lyrics (based off the same scripture). does anyone know what the song is called and where I can find a recording?
