Titus Andronicus More Perfect Union Comments
  1. b.... o....

I must've heard that riff in a commercial or something, because I've never heard this song but that sounds so familiar

  2. J.... ....

    1:46 Best Part

  3. m.... ....

Shit audio quality on this video. Don't bother please go find a better version, it's a great song

  4. T.... C....

    Craig Finn and Titus

  5. c.... ....

The Lincoln quotation is super relevant today. "As a nation of free men we will live forver, or die by suicide"

  6. H.... M....

    Wow fckn awesome!

  7. E.... M....

    PU_UNK RO_OCK ¡¡¡¡¡

  8. K.... y....

    3 AM AND TITUS ANDRONICUS

  9. d.... ....

I'd always thought this was more a song about New Jersey than anything
Not sure why there are suddenly political arguments in the comments, but then again these ARE youtube comments we're talking about

  10. P.... S....

    1:46 my childhood music

  11. o.... ....

    Fuck yes!!!

  12. M.... P....

They barely cranked this album out. But the concept sticks and there's some good moments.

  13. J.... B....

    Are we ready to go?

  14. L.... ....

Holy! This guy sounds just like Paul Westerberg

  15. o.... c....

Iam here for Rocksmith amazing song

  16. S.... ....

It's very interesting to see libtards dickride this song. Lincoln was by every standard a white nationalist, and they would spit on him for his views were he around today. But their darling LBJ who sent the black community back to slavery is not nearly cool enough to belong in a punk song.

    S.... ....

Cause true "Libtards" are open-minded and seek equality in our society wether we have to deal with conservative, republicans, liberals, feminists, and prefer analysing a political discour over criticising it

    S.... ....

I fucking love this whole "libtard" thing. If anybody uses it seriously I instantly know they're dumb as fuck and they're about to say some really funny shit.

  17. A.... T....

Ugh, not for me. Second rate punk

  18. Y.... ....

Where the well of human hatred is shallow and dry

  19. K.... T....

After the Election i find my solace here

    K.... T....

Take heart from the war from which this album draws its inspiration. The USA has persevered through worse, so too shall it do again.

    K.... T....

    Same here brother..

    Thank tA and Lincoln..

Liberals have always won.. it is the nature of the universe to progress.. Conservatives and the darkness are but speedbumps..

    K.... T....

That awkward moment where I'm actually a conservative myself

    K.... T....

    @True Security
LOL.. Yep.. A LIBERAL Republican.. You clearly know little of history.. The GOP were the LIBERAL party back then.. Holy fuck man.. How old are you?

    K.... T....

    @True Security
You show your ignorance with each comment

  20. J.... M....

You know what I just notice something? Whenever there's rock or punk music in the 70s that sounds alot like this, it gets all the praise and positive reviews. But if it's from 2010s like this one, 80% of the reviews is criticize this music and say the voice is bad (even though it sounds alot like 90% of punks voice. Be happy it isn't some whiny indie rock pussy voice type). What's up with the times of rock that is so heavily bash when it's release today? I mean, this isn't bad music at all. I can say it's better than 95% of the shitty mediocre rock in the 60s and 70s. The guitar solo is very great, the drumming is decent too, the voice sounds great (I don't see the problem with it). Is it some time bashing that kids and oldies do when comparing their old music to now? I bet this album will get alot of praise in 20 years and know for "2010 kids music" but it's not possible

    J.... M....

Well, Led Zeppelin wasnt appreciate by criticts until they splited up.

    J.... M....

@kamikazelombardo Make sense. I guess this will be a classic soon in decades.

  21. J.... D....

This band is the spiritual successor to Desaparecidos

    J.... D....

Agreed. This is my first time listening to this band, and that was the first thought that came into my mind. I love Desaparecidos. Will have to check out some more TA songs...

  22. K.... B....

How does he get that sound at 2:08??

    K.... B....

Kaphooey Boyo he uses his whammy bar

  23. F.... R....

    I'm doing 70 on 17, 80 over 84.

  24. S.... ....

My only guess is that people dont like his voice because he doesnt sound like every indie band singer that sounds like he just got kicked in the nuts and turned into a little girl..

    S.... ....

I personally don't like his voice because it sounds like he's trying too hard. I would expect this type of performance from a South Park character's parody of punk rock lol. Alright song, tho.

  25. D.... ....

finally learned how to play the solo in this song...my fingers are tired xD

    D.... ....

    ...on rocksmith

    D.... ....

    Damarcos29 me too

  26. D.... ....

This is my "I hate everything, especially myself" album.

  27. F.... ....

God this is so Low Fi in a bad way. It's so low volume and I can barely hear it to where I want to, takes away all the ambition within the instrumental which just screams to be dynamic.

    F.... ....

    +vielelDeen wut?

  28. I.... K....

    Rocksmith brought me here!

  29. w.... ....

    Fucking.  Perfect.

    w.... ....

    wombat659 More perfect!

  30. A.... ....

I think you have to look at a song or an album....anything a band does really as its own entity. A piece of art that is exactly what they meant for it to be. If you don't find beauty in it....or you hate his voice then this just isn't your kind of music.

  31. N.... H....

geezus if youre an american this gets you pumped!! the subject matter and references!! this song is solid what are you guys talking about!!?

  32. L.... ....

This guy has a great voice. Not sure what some of you are talking about

    L.... ....

exactly, i'm mostly into hiphop so i've never really been a big fan of this kinda music, but this guys voice is great.

    L.... ....

vocals are the best part of the song

    L.... ....

With punk rock vocals its not as much about singing on key ... its about angst and passion or lack thereof

  33. A.... G....

I feel bad for the people who can't get over this guy's voice. There's so much in this album The drumming is fantastic, the guitars are fantastic. The big moments are massive and the build up to those moments is put together really well. These guitarists use feedback so well. There's so much energy and rage in all of these songs. Makes you want to get in a barfight or something.

It's just so ambitious. They could have made another shitty indie album with catchy little choruses, instead they tried to make an absolute beast of an album, and they totally succeeded imo. This one's a total blast from front to back. The songs are all tied together with a strong lyrical concept about struggling to find success/accept failure within yourself.  This album gets better everytime you listen to it, and that's what makes it so great.

    A.... G....

If they don't like his voice I don'y know how people feel about The Clash haha punk rock babies

    A.... G....

@Abonodi Then why do I like it so much?

    A.... G....

@Andy Franklin I dont know. Why does one enjoy taking a shit?

    A.... G....

@Abonodiwait, you mean a punk band has a deliberately sloppy and raucous, loud sound? What a fucking shock.

    A.... G....

    @Abonodi... What.

Proto-punk, 77 punk, punk-pop, ska punk, hardcore punk, dc hardcore, cali hardcore, straight edge, skate punk, emo punk, ramonescore, krishnacore, electropunk, melodic hardcore, folk punk, anarchopunk, commiecore/labor core, Irish-folk-punk, etc etc.

Punk is very much a form of music. In fact it's a very diverse form of music. Your definition doesn't even make sense, not that many punks embrace "anarchy" (especially not the populist "fuck everything" nihilist version people like you mean) and the punk "attitude" isn't the angry thing people expect but usually a sense of community and kindness towards things. Punks tend to be the ones booking all ages shows, planting trees, running soup kitchens, etc.

Seriously one of the shallowest and most asinine comments about punk that I've ever god damn read. And that's saying something.

  34. M.... B....

Am I the only one who sticks their chest out and clench their fist during the speech

    M.... B....

No you're not the only one. And I'm not even American.

    M.... B....

I single-handedly invaded and overthrew six other countries while listening to this song. They made the mistake: they brought a gun to a Titus Andronicus fight.

    And they lost. Craven maggots.

  35. j.... ....

i cant believe i found this band from looking up "songs with american history references" for class. ugh best decision to attempt homework ever.

  36. J.... P....

    Guitar part: 10/10
Vocal: 1/10 and I'm being generous.

    J.... P....

dude, its punk man, the voice has to be lik this

    J.... P....

"WHY DON'T YOU SHARE MY OPINIONS ARGHRRGARGHRGHG"

    J.... P....

You have no knowledge of punk music lol

    J.... P....

It's intentionally lofi, strained, and raw. You might not like it but others do.

    J.... P....

we are not being fanboys, we are pointing out that you have said something that does not fit with the point of the music

  37. J.... K....

Christ this is bad. Stay pleb.

    J.... K....

Disagree.  C'est l'vie.  Why do you not like it?

    J.... K....

    @AstralMichel
The samples are pretentious, the lyrics are overly whiny/angsty, and the music itself is generic and kind of lame. That's just my opinion though.

    J.... K....

@Josh K Well, we respect your opinion, but as a nation of free men, fuck you.

    J.... K....

    @soundofparticles hell yeah brother

  38. t.... ....

love this one, the long version is awesome

  39. R.... S....

Good tune, but borrows heavily from Dinosaur Jr.'s "Feel the Pain" and from the Replacements in general, not as if lifting from those two bands is a bad thing.

    R.... S....

Derrrrrr every song ever had done that

  40. b.... ....

    Aw, that was nice.

  41. A.... ....

sounds like its perfect for tony hawks pro skater

  42. M.... C....

thank you rocksmith for introducing me to this song :D

    M.... C....

Mac Crowley rocksmith is the real MVP

  43. g.... ....

    and nobody gives a fuck.

  44. M.... D....

5 months later, my comment is still visible

    M.... D....

5 years later, your comment is still visible

  45. T.... M....

I have no idea what people are talking about when they say he can't sing. His voice works like Conor Oberst's for me; not traditionally great, but powerful as fuck.

  46. M.... D....

    4:12 shit just got irish

  47. M.... D....

    i love the chorus

  48. H.... C....

    good stuff Abe.

  49. s.... ....

If you can learn by ear, can you put up tabs on say ultimate-guitar?

  50. E.... ....

    Punk ain't dead :)

  51. m.... ....

For me it's like, if you don't find it on 911tabs, then it's not on the internet, at least not in the surface. With this one you better try to learn how to read rocksmith xD v=b3XbY4tEYko or buy the game :P / or you can try to learn by ear like me, I don't find this hard at all to learn by ear (I mean, power chords and somewhat easy solos, and stuff like that)

  52. A.... M....

know a good place for tabs?

  53. Q.... K....

I found this song by Rocksmith. I enjoyed to play the guiter ,especially in this song! Love it.

  54. m.... ....

"From whence shall we expect the approach of danger? Shall some transatlantic giant step the earth and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe and Asia could not, by force, take a drink from the Ohio River or set a track on the Blue Ridge in the trial of a thousand years. If destruction be our lot, we ourselves must be its author and finisher. As a nation of free men, we will live forever, or die by suicide."

  55. C.... ....

Playing the Minor Pentatonic scale, Key of A, 4th position brought me here. :p

  56. m.... ....

So fucking fun to play *-*

  57. N.... ....

Stickles' high school drama teacher reading a Lincoln speech.

  58. B.... C....

  59. T.... F....

No cabe duda que es una cancion muy buena

  60. L.... M....

    Abraham Lincoln

  61. P.... ....

Why is the music video only half the song? :S

    P.... ....

    Radio single length

  62. C.... C....

and that's how you write songs

  63. L.... M....

This is one of the best songs i ve ever heard in my lif

  64. R.... ....

  66. u.... ....

  67. g.... ....
