Thursday Cross Out The Eyes Comments
900K by next july, y'all!!!
If you like 90s-2000s rock, i know you will like this little band called Lemon Disco.
https://lemondisco.bandcamp.com/album/interstellar
I love this song still, classic!
wow, I love this album so god damn much
Just getting into Thursday <3
Welcome to a new addiction.
Check out their albums War All The Time and No Devolución as well! I've been a Thursday fan since high school, graduated almost 3 years ago, and just heard No Devolución the other night. One of their best, easily top 2
I once saw these guys in a sweltering basement in Lancaster, PA. I think it was 2001, with Skycamefalling, Set Ablaze, and Christiana. I remember it so vividly. There was close to a hundred people packed into a tiny town house basement in the middle of summer. Thursday played their asses off. To this day, it's one of the best shows I've ever been to.
Still one of the best songs I’ve ever heard, October 2019
October anybody?
2019 👋😍
2019 whyyy
Also, the person screaming at the end sounds like he is going to burst a blood vessel.
OMMFG, the screaming in this song is so over the top and contrived that it sounds almost as if it was added on as a ham-hocked/ham-fisted sort of thing. Almost like Sevendust, in fact.
skinny puppy is so much harder with warlock
seriously watch warlock
I've been listening to this for half of my life now. I was given the album as a gift in highschool and I'm turning 33 soon.
2019 anyone
Meee 🤘🤘🤘
Vocalist is flat almost the entire song smh
This was such an influential song. I thnk this song was on every punk/hardcore/emo compilation from 2001-2003.
Song Lyric :
Let's call this the quiet city:
Where screams are felt as a wave of stoplights
Drive through the the streets as gunshots punctuate the night
The sides we take divide us from our faith
And the morning dove gets caught in the telephone wire
Asleep you set the fire in your own house
And the night was a knife that cut
And I'm paralyzed
Cross out the eyes
Blur all the lines
Tearing this canvas from the wall
We crossed out the eyes
Put lines through these cries
We pulled all the leaves from the trees that fall
A silent dance that we did into this hospital bed
Hear voices from another room
"It happens all the time"
But July in the sand
Then the leaves fall down
And counting down our days to live
Drain the blood from this valentine.
"We can rise on the wings of the dove
See blue skies getting caught in the trail of all this smoke
We can rise like candles in the dark, yours always"
and an envelope marked with your new address
It was the first time face to face
I'm crossing the line
Talking to the other side of death
Hearing the words that choke memories into flat lines
I'm calling your name hoping for something to wash these dreams of you away
Our fence was blown down in a winter storm and this field
Stretched out of this world into the sound of a trace of blood in a love song
What can we do to put a stop to the coming white days?
I'm hoping the snow will push these dreams of you away
Thusday - Cross Out The Eyes.
granted i posted this last night, but i'm still not over it. plus found the like 2 words my brain omitted... i hate finding those...it's like watching my brain die.)
i used to just listen to this song, thinking it was "listenable-enough," but just sounded like a pretty "basic, generic" "listenable-enough" song... but i never really picked it apart until now... but geoff rickley deserves credit for what a secret genius he really was, the way this song almost never rhymes at all, & that he could all fit it with ease, making it sound just as easy-flowing as a NIN song where each line is 8 syllables in 4/4 time & rhymes AABB or ABAB every other line...
"asleep.. you set the fire in your own house...
and the night was a knife... & i'm paralyzed.
the silent death that we did into this hospital bed...
(voices from another room - "happens all the time.....")
the leaves falling...
counting down days to live.....
drain the blood from this valentine....."
Thursday is still my favourite band and it always be
I’m 40 yrs old and this song and Thursday was the definition of my youth. These lyrics got me thru some of my worst days, and still do.
That’s the difference in REAL music/art and today’s dime a dozen bullshit. Real music stays relevant years and always
I'm only - 27 % 4+2.6 and I love this music, can I have the approval of strangers now?
Full Collapse has stood the test of time.
vocals dont fit, too clean and poppy.
Thank you for making this.
I'm in my 40s and this was the only band that came out of the Emo music that was fuckin good. They got the mix just right.
they are post hardcore/emo. they Arent emo. and most emo Music is and Always was Underground. and there are much better ones...
2019🔥🔥🔥 This band, this, album and their live shows during this time. 🤘🔥 Sooo damn good. Glad I got to witness it all.❤
Sab L same.
My childhood was 🔥
Full Collapse aged very well. Can't say that about a lot of bands' albums from this era. This is one of my favorites, and I have very fond memories of jamming out to this song in 2006; my senior year. I had half days that year and every day I would leave school, drive to Taco Bell, and listen to this album. Those were much simpler times. Going to try and catch them on their reunion tour in ATL.
2019? 👍
Seen this on TV and listen to them since.
Full Collapse de Thursday y What it is to burn de Finch estarán siempre enlazados en mi mente, una excelente época, grandes álbumes de grandes bandas desestimadas.
2018 and still one of my fav's!!!💪🤘❤
Shitt I'm 32 years old and still listen to this band
No worries. 31 here and still super dope. Rock on brother. Music ain't even close these days.
I remember when I first saw this when I was like 12 and it blew my little mind. Then I listened to them for like 7 years straight. Most impactful music in my timeline
Face It. The Band Broke Up. Why?. Because They Were Not Popular Compared To Other Bands.
02:46 it gets real
hey...love u guys, same age and still look up credible emo music
I AM FROM UKRAINE, I LOVE THURSDAY
So good this band never gets old to me, same with Thrice.

And the mourning dove get caught in the telephone wire!!
33 years young and still play this like it was the first time I listened to it.

This music video is horrifying. The songs good though.
Screamoooo
20 YEAR TOUR!!!
First heard this song on the Warped Tour 2002 CD back when they would sell them at Hot Topic for like $7. Found so many bands from Hot Topic and their listening stations back in the day!
Forever fave thursday song
35, 3 kids, wife, mortgage, truck and car payments etc etc... still fucking love Thursday. Have since their very beginning.
God, the nostalgia!
Oh my god u guys reunited!
Well...Here am I still listening to this kind of music. 2017!
Damn, I can remember my exact self from the late 90's-early 2ooo's when I listen to this and other songs from that era. I'm high too.
2017 and still listing to this 🤘🏼
I'm 37, married with 8 kids and can tell you that listening to Thursday on a Friday makes time stand still (figuratively speaking).

I love Thursday❤️🤘🏽 still in 2017
i also listen to this band give me likes for my random story -___-
right?? i'm so fuckin sick of people commenting their current age and their age when they discovered the song the video that they're commenting on belongs to!
so fucking powerful and beautiful. the only band to do this sound right. Thursday can almost be considered emo. they stayed true to the roots on the first two albums. I love them so much. This song really is perfect.
One of my top favorite bands!!
God damn this and AFI brings me places
I'm only 21 now, but I grew up on this shit, and they still have an authenticity to them that I wish more bands captured.
Just seen them last Thursday. Best show I've seen in a long time. Absolutely fucking amazing! \m/ \m/
can Thursday continue making music plz
Who here killed their parents computers with computer herpes downloading Thursday's music?
thursday6911 god damn that limewire and bit torent lmao
My favorite band during High School. I saw them just once in Houston, they played Full Collapse in its entirety. And then I got to say Hi to them outside the venue. Those were the days.
This band is the reason I dedicated my entire life to playing drums. I am 27 and finally starting to make headway in my local scene. I owe everything I know to this band.
This is what I identify as true EMO music.
@Alex Ruland all the bands you mentioned have their songs, but there will be a time where you Will stop caring who is real emo or not. With that being said, check out Bob tilton, Constantine sankathi, and candy land Carcrash. Let me know if you want more.
@phantom smile i'll never stop caring about educating myself re: musical genres.
@Alex Ruland this is one of their best songs.
@MaDeLapHnT understanding in a car crash and this will always have a special place in my heart
@Alex Ruland yeah another great song....for the workforce, drowning is probably my favorite.
good times wow
i would like to know the meaning of the video... just have a little background from the one who made it
This song brings back so memories in a way only music can. its still great too. Need fresh Thursday memories asap!
good times

Dareon Flores Thank you very much :)
Thursday will forever be the greatest of this time.
Agreed Only Emo Band worth a damn
I don't like all of their stuff but it's better than all the wannabes that came after. They're early music is good some screaming and singing with a hint of hardcore. The first albums are the best
But still prefer my thrash and death metal and 90s eras music but all time favorite band hands down is DEFTONES.
Savvy Cross omg! digital bath best damn song ever
Emery and senses fail were pretty fucking awesome too
I am 30 so I am most defintely biased when it comes to 90's music. Deftones is one of my all time favorite bands.
Savvy Cross Jawbreaker? Sunny Day Real Estate? American Football? The Promise Ring? Braid? Cap’n Jazz? Mineral? Texas Is The Reason? Knapsack? Penfold? These are all emo bands worth a damn as well as many more I probably forgot
Savvy Cross if u like deftones you should listen to team sleep , crosses and palms , another bands of Chino Moreno ( DEFTONES SINGER ) 🤗
the drums. i love the drum ❤😍😍
thursdayyyyyyy 😍😍😍
thurday was the only good band from the faux emo era.
Funeral for a Friend - you guys should know them
Park-it won't snow where you are going -album
Wlord _ so are they post hardcore?
brokenupbeat Early Panic is a lil emo
Thursday had a sound of their own. They started as a emo band but clearly influenced by hardcore. Early emo bands just had the typical grungy sound but Thursday pushed the boundaries and incorporated jazz, funk and other elements into it. Just more musical an technical. Like signals over the air , understanding, workforce, paris in flames etc. But the passion in the songs just unmatched imo. Most underrated band of all time.
Figured i'd join in here...31 with 3 kids here and still to this day...Thursday is fucking amazing. Half the reason I wanted to play music. Music these days lack passion...that can never be said about Thursday.
How this video doesn't have even 500k views blows my mind
It's 866K now 🤘
He's so attractive it's unbelievable. His voice is one of my favourite voices in the world! Bury me to the sound of this song playing
Did they change drummers?????
no, they didn't
@reyza miskhalamsar oh seemed like it. He must've changed since war all of the time days
NoName Wiki nope. Same drummer
Hmm, I liked this one. Just checking this band out. I didn't like 'War all the time' or 'Understanding in a car crash' but I liked this one. Are there many more like this where they show their slightly more hardcore side?
omg Understanding in a Car Crash in gold
Check out A Hole In the World maybe?
so many good shows back in the day with these guys omg memories
TRISTATE AREA
I was just listening to joshua fit for battle yesterday and it made me think of Thursday and drive like jahoo...oh the good ole screamo days
'the sides we take divide us from our faith'
im 29 now married with my first child on the way, and can honestly say this music defined me
As it did for us all. At least all of us that actually genuinely enjoyed the shit and weren't just listening to be a part of the scene.
@Jayjay_ 2xs 31 now
gregg gardiner lol
23 but I don't have any kids yet lol
Haha 31 and with my first child in the crib in the other room.
the part screaming "trees that fall" is my favorite
wow 2016 y aun lo escucho
Alicia Guio De Cajo 2017
