This song makes me think of when I was 16 and made my dad drive me from PA to NJ to meet this girl I knew online that I had a huge crush on. He let me play this album during the whole ride and this song was on when we were arriving at her place. Things never worked out with us tho and I haven’t spoken to her in years. I hope she’s doing fine tho.

I feel like I learn more from this song every time I listen to it. It's not just randomly put together lyrics, it's life lessons. It's about accepting constructive criticism and help when you don't think you need it. It's about having faith in yourself when you don't think you have it in you. It's about being humble and confident at the same time. Most of all, it's about being the best friend you can possibly be. Even if it means lending a brutally honest helping hand.

Dustin's lyrics have always been on point. A perfect balance between articulate and poetic.

Undead Rogue What other songs? I really don't think he ever had an alcohol problem. I mean he referenced alcohol in deadbolt but in a negative light and considering that was at the beginning of his career, I doubt that was ever really a serious vice for him. He even makes multiple references in blinded about how he was like the model kid growing up and now he feels dumb for having been judgemental because of it.

Undead Rogue I mean I've had my fair share of drug and alcohol problems over the years and I would like to think this song was about overcoming addiction, but there's just no basis for that. The song is about him overcoming his pride more than anything. He just uses references like "one more hit/kiss will kill you" as metaphors to make the song more relatable.
