Thrice - Only Us Lyrics

How the hell do I always end up tearing up and feeling like i'm running out of breath every time I hear a Thrice song?? Dustin and the guys pour so much emotion into every single song. It literally feels like piece by piece each of their songs repair a little broken part of the world. As one we achieve little to nothing, but together we can brighten the future enough to make a difference. Yet again these guys managed to inspire and spark something inside of me. A very familiar feeling after years of supporting and listening to Thrice. PLEASE never stop doing this guys... You will never be able to comprehend how much your work has and continues to touch people.

I was wondering if I'd ever see a Thrice video for Palms, and apparently I wasn't looking hard enough, haha! A year has gone by and I have no idea why I haven't seen this!

So well done, the story is great and you don't even have to hear what's going on. Whoever made it gets massive props.

5 months ago my grandpa died from cancer, he served in the military and gained command seartent major level. The night I went to his funeral service to give him my last kiss I heard and saw the video for this song and haven’t stopped listening to it since......this shit speaks louder than anything on tv you hear or what the media depicts as reality but it’s right here I front of US !

Why do we hate each other? Why do we need to highlight so meaningless differences to separate us from the rest? been a different skin color... believing in something religiously different... all that shouldn't matter. Like it or not, there are more things we share than things we don't. We are all humans, we all feel, we all smile, we all cry, we eventually feel hunger, we all wish to reach realization, we all fear... But it is so easy to blame the "system", blame someone else for teaching us how to thought. If only humans knew how many incredible things they could achieve together the world would be such an unimaginable place... but here we are, living in a global collapsing society, begging for world peace while we stab each other in the back...

This is an awesome idea but for this to happen in society we must put away our egos and pride and agendas to draw out the accuser and the divider..that is the hardest part

Thank you so much for still being a phenomenal experience to listen to Thrice. I grew up on you in highschool jamming paper tigers, silhouette and artist in the ambulance. Now I have a 8 month old son who can grow up with this great music.

I love Thrice...but this video kinda missed the mark... the boys just turned their 'Them vs Us' mentality from each other onto the counselors. It's still there. I know it's supposed to symbolize our current political situation, but the real solution isn't to go into battle mode. It's to replace hate with grace.

So does thrice no longer believe that there is someone greater than us??

This song and album are pretty sick, I like the kind of 90's grunge vibe the album has. However I still miss the Punk/Metal version of Thrice from their early days, I wish i knew how long they've had that style for, but Vheissu is, to this day, the most disappointed I've ever been buying a new album for a band I truly loved, and was the reason I stopped buying their CD's

Thrice is just so amazing, I don't have words for such a treasure.

I love thrice but the lyrics of this song are so damn utopian its ridiculous. Humans are tribalistic, trying to socially engineer that out of us will not work. Just accept they way we evolved. Staying in our own lanes and not flooding in different tribes which will only cause conflict is a much better way to go. We can help each other from our own homelands.
