Not the biggest Thrice fan. But they have my favorite Beatles cover ever. And I don't really like the Beatles. Kudos.

A pretty good version but check out the version by the Zoot back in n 1970. Probably the best Elanor Rigby version. The lead guitarist is Rick Springfield who went on to soap fame in USA and the Bass guitist is Been Birtles who was in Little River Band.

The trouble with all this cover stuff whether it’s good or bad, and this one was a crock, nobody can write stuff like this anymore; you know music with a hook in it, music that has tune that you can whistle because that tune sticks in your head.

I love Thrice, but this is pretty damned bad. I will give credit to at least they made it their own, though. Sometimes when bands make a song their own, it turns out great (Johnny Cash's version of 'Hurt'), while other times not so much (this song). Regardless, I will never stop loving Thrice. Every band has a right to a misstep here and there.

There's an alternate version of this Thrice cover where Dustin's vocals fade out on the last note.  I like this one better where you can hear his voice waver and crack and fade out on its own.  

Not feeling this cover but they killed "she's so heavy" to make up for it.

The cover is good, and if it were the original, I would probably expect it to be a pretty good hit. However, I think that it would be incredibly difficult to match the standards that The Beatles set for this song.

The those high falsetto bends in the chorus were genius. The whole point of covering a song is to put your own creative spin on it. If Thrice had made a carbon copy of the Beatles original, it wouldn't have been nearly as interesting.

I don't like the Beatles. I don't hate them, but I don't like them, and until recently, I was also heavily criticized for it. Of course, I tend to hate covers, so I will still prefer the original. That said, this is still a good version, and Thrice will always be an amazing band.

This version's okay, but it's not my favorite. It feels a bit too raw to me, but I'm sure it resonates well for others.

How does it make you a moron to like a cover more than the original? The Beatles were great, but they aren't the end-all-be-all of music. Not even their own material. Guess what? People have different opinions and tastes than you do.

No version is going to be as good as the original (at least with the Beatles) but this is best of all the covers I've heard.

If it's genuine, but still sounds like trash, it's still trash. You can achieve a nice-sounding pitch-correct voice without autotuning and overproduction (which don't sound right to me). There are plenty of bands who have great vocalists that don't overproduce and sound amazing. Pinback is a great example.

This isnt a recording of a live version. Listen to a high quality copy, its not bad based on the fact that thrice was nothing back then

Making it able to have the vocals panned to where they can be reproduced and pitch corrected to where the original flaws in John's, Paul's, George's, and Ringo's vocals which makes a voice sound the way it is non-existent. All voices have flaws. Pitch correction gets rid of them so you're not even listening to the original songs by The Beatles. With this Thrice cover you can hear every flaw in Dustin's voice making him sound... REAL. Like a human. That's why these retards don't like this cover.

Listen to Thrice's other albums and they have a much better mix than this. The vocals barely sound mastered. The vocal volume actually over takes all the other instruments. Also, The Beatles have been remastered so many times that you're not listening to the original song no matter what you think you're listening to. In fact, the latest Beatles remaster introduces actual stereo sound which the original wasn't panning the vocals to where the vocal track can be worked on.

Oh dude. I'm not saying it's better than Paul McCartney. Not at all. But you have to consider a couple things. The Beatles are the most popular band of all time. You're dealing with one of the most appealing voices in history. So there's nooooo fucking way you can compare Dustin and Paul UNLESS it was over produced. Which most Beatles covers are. But this cover is an exception. Not to mention that if you listen to this it sounds like it was done in an hour in a basement fucking around.

Sorry Dustin Kensrue isn't over producing and auto-tuning his voice. Recordings like this are about as real as it gets. The guitar tone, the amp distortion, the vocals aren't fixed. A simple mix and master was put on this and that's it. If this isn't good enough for you then don't listen to it. Go listen to Bruno Mars and jerkoff.
