Am I the only one who feels like this could be a happy sort of song?
'you lied and said I was everything' could mean that B is not EVERYTHING to A, but that's okay. B can still get lost in A, can still get close and love them. And they don't HAVE to be each other's everything, because sometimes that's not how life works.
Figuring it out can be tough (pain of it all, the rise and the fall), but when you come to the conclusion that love isn't always a two-way street, you'll be a lot happier in the end. (somehow I found a way to get lost in you, emphasis on the *somehow*)
Frankly, I think it suits the mood of the music this way, not a depressing 'waahh my heart's broken cause they don't love me' kind of thing, but a 'I guess they don't love me like I love them, but that doesn't change the fact that I love them.' some relationships just, don't turn out the way you want them to, and that's not a bad thing. you don't have to end it, it's just different from what you expected.
