Love this can't get enough of the twins 👌

It was a big mistake withdrawing this song. So much better than the stuff on that album

    *Amazing!* ⭕⚪🔵
This song hasn't aged at all.
It would have been interesting to see how this charted
had it not been recalled. Love the layers in the song...

    Thanks for posting!!

I heard this in a club just before release back in 85. Thought it was a big hit. Shame

    Sweet tune.

This is the proper "single" release, slightly different (and better) than the version included on their greatest hits.

its amazing what nile Rogers can do. Upon the release of "Rollover" as the lead single for the Heres To Future Days album, Tom Bailey suffered a nervous breakdown. He took this to be an omen that this was a doomed choice for the single/album. He ordered all copies of the single, which had coincidentally hit shops that day, to be returned to the label and destroyed. He brought in Nile Rogers to (re)produce the entire album, which is what we have today. The lead single was switched to "Lay Your Hands On Me" (which had already come out in the UK as a pre-Rogers production/mixdown) The difference in the pre-Rogers versions of Rollover and LYHOM are striking. "Rollover" was never given a second chance as single.

@Scottie DJ Red-Eye Is this link the later, Nile Rogers version? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0eAgmgIGIA

That's backwards actually -- the version in the main video on this page is the LP version that was reworked with Nile Rodgers, and it only appeared on the US pressing of the album "Here's To Future Days". The version in the link you posted is the original pre-Nile version that was recorded before Tom's health problems. It was included on the Greatest Hits collection as a bonus for collectors, because at that time it had never seen the light of day anywhere except a performance on Album Flash here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgW7kLMuBN4

Great song. For me undiscovered until now.
