This song is pushing all those buttons that had long been untouched. The movie still has that bling and awe, seems just like yesterday. One of the best movies I ever laid my eyes on.

I think those movies have elements of that classic 80's 'suck' in them, too. Just because something from a previous era is beloved (a "classic"), that doesn't mean it's GOOD. It means it captured an essence of that particular era in a way that evokes nostalgia. I love Rocky Horror Picture Show, but as a film in and of itself, it's awful. The original Star Trek series is something I couldn't imagine life without, but in terms of production values and acting, it's a joke, it's terrible.

Movies today are much more likely to have a natural flow to the dialog than 80's or 70's or 60's films. By and large, the winners for Best Picture throughout the ages tend to have that naturalness, and also much more attention paid to continuity, both in the shots filmed and in the screenplay. There are exceptions to any generalization, of course.

Well the 80s and 90s comedy was better back then than today which comedy misses the point and gets wrong, see Ghostbusters 2016 remake which sucked ass and was not very funny and an example of why some modern comedies get wrong what 80s and 90s comedy gets right and GB 2016 flopped. Action films were better back in the 80s and 90s than today's with a few exceptions like John Wick, Deadpool, Equalizer, Olympus has Fallen etc. and adult entertainment in the 80s and 90s existed. Back then in the 80s and 90s there were lightning in a bottle! i'm sure you think Star Trek 2009 and the prequels are better than their originals. Saturday Night Live use to be good.

The movie is clinically insane, but I loved every minute of it. For me, it's just weird and bizarre enough to work.

the nice thing about this song is that it applies to both people in a hard relationship.
And it's sung both in male and female version.

LOL! Everytime I hear this track, that scene plays in my head. I thought it was cool how Howard and Beverly bonded in this movie. I don't care what the critics say, this flick rocked da' house when I was a kid and I still think it does today now that I'm older.
