This song has been one of my favorites since I first heard it. I like the natural way in which it is sung and the lyrics are meaningful. The voice of the singer is very good too and the music backing him is nice too. So it is a great song to hear and enjoy.

Can't listen to this song and not think of that iconic scene with Paul Newman and Katherine Ross as Butch and Etta.

Recall this song in December 1969.My friend and I were out in the boonies when it was playing on the radio. Today if I drive to that area i'll get stopped by the Border Patrol cause it's on the border with Mexico plus you can see the Deconcini port of entrance, and all of the warehouses that have been built in that area. Or as John Denver once said in a song MORE PEOPLE MORE SCARS UPON THE LAND....

interesting.. the wife of the writer of 'butch C & sundance' and paul newman disagreed.. over the truer ending.. U c paul wanted to believe that the two anti heroes died at the end in a big shootout like the movie illustrates.. but the wife as she explained, 'actually they were rich enough to set up another two mates of no major relation to take the fall as two bandits and Butch and sundance skipped away.. as all heroes should.. // myth, folklore or.. just a good story... I prefer her story.. the truth is better than thinking they died that day to too many guns without a way out.. Merry Christmas. Thanks for the upload..
