Phatt....gestern wie heute....

i was a katrina volunteer, no cd player, no computer. it was like the whole world happened inside of the bubble we were in. i saw a girl sunbathing, symmetrical stars down her front, fell in love, we saw each other for a week before she gave me her headphones to hear this song. i just laid my head on the folding table in the computer room, and then i listened to it again. she left a week later, with americorp, i waved at her with a toy shark from our night out the night before sticking out of my pants. i waved, and i knew one of the greats was gone. i only have this song, and it's more than i probably deserve. thank you life.

Vocals are great, lyrics are sweet, music sounds like it was made on GarageBand or FruityLoops in about 10 minutes.

Dude I make shit on garageband all the time, this is not something you could make on gargeband.

Sadly I have to agree with you, this album's production quality is a bit wonky at times. This is still among my favourite solo songs alongside Black Swan and Nose Grows Some. The lyrics and vocals are great like you say, I just wish they gave this particular song the Radiohead treatment. This album has a lot of soul, the complete opposite of AMOK which has amazing production quality but lacks "soul".

sometimes because something seems simple doesn't mean it's easy to make and also there are many good songs that practically are easy to make and even so they are still great. also if this is a 10 min job how come only thom came up with it? ofc my friend you have the right to your opinion but that doesn't mean you have to be right.

You can judge whatever you like, thats true.... when you have no experience or intelligent wisdom about the subject you are judging, then your opinion is worth about 2cents, that is also true.

It's exceedingly obvious that he was going for a fuzzy, low quality style for some of his solo songs. This music contrasts brilliantly with his super clear vocals.
