Sandi Thom didn't give up fame, she got dumped by sony because she couldnt sell enough records. By her own admission she was dropped by them in a phone call, they didnt even bother to get her in to the office. The very fact this single has disappeared and sank without trace on its release says more than i could about what the world thinks about Sandi Thom and her artistic integrity or her attempt to use others sufferings to sell her songs.

look idiot, MLK's messages was for unity of the ethnicities (people say races but were all humans) and this song is calling for global unity as he wished for, whether someone put it in for sales or not doesnt matter, if the message matches the one he fought so hard to promote with all of his marchers and it makes someone stop and think about how wrong racism ,segregation, and all these other negative influences are, i dont care about why its put on as long as the message is clear and changes someone to become a better human, MLK wouldve been thankful that someone used his work to promote the same message, even if its for the wrong reasons he wouldve thanked god and the artist for this because what his intentions were were never changed in the sales. think about the lyrics and his speech, its not diminishing his message, its singing it in another voice
