Had a privilege of listening to this band in the late 2000's and early 2010's. Myself and my close friends would cram into a car and drive around blasting this album. My favorite memories are with them and this band. We were all young and hadn't figured our lives out yet. Now we're all grown up. Most of us are married, and don't have much time to hang out. But this song reminds me that the those days are not done, and I'll have a life long friendship with all of them. They're not friends but brothers, and this flawless song reminds me of that. Just a small reason of why 3EB, and this song in particular means a lot to me.

It was a jab at the lead guitarist (kevin cadogan) who they kicked out of the band right before the album was released. That's why you'll hear laughter (Stephen J, Lead singer) in the hidden track at the end of album following the guitar solo instead of completed version here

I LOVE the ending. The guy who uploaded a different version of this on YouTube said he removed it because it on the extended version because it was "Chatter." Puh-lease. These lyrics resonate with me, along with all the guitars: "These days, they're not done. The Red Summer Sun."

Thank you for your 3EB contribution. I'm just about the only fan here in snowbird Arizona, so it's refreshing to see others like yourself acknowelege well-structured advancive music.
Third Eye Blind was one of those rare bands who actually evoked the full range of emotions from their listeners -- something you only hear about classical orcestras doing to people a hundred years ago.

Favorte 3EB song ever. WHYY did they have to take out the last minute out in spotify.. Dammnnn.

Oh they may have done that on Spotify because on the album the track is from, the main song and that 1 minute instrumental were separate. It was was either a hidden track at the end of the last song or a separate track at the end of the album. I cannot recall. That was over 15 years ago for me and I no longer own the album.

@NebulaStarGazer They aren't done yet. They are currently working on, what is believed to be, their final album "Ursa Minor". Still unsure on the release date, though.

they're more of an indie band now, his lyrics are just as deep, you have to look for the meaning behind the lyrics to get the real message of their new stuff. Ursa Major is amazing. But their old stuff is classic summer grunge.

What!? The "weird opera part" is just as amazing as the overwhelming outro on this song to me, they're the best parts. This song is flawless.

I disagree with a LOT of you guys, I love Third Eye Blind but this song is a DISASTER!!

However.. After the weird ACDC Kareoke screamo, the punk rock riff "TAKE ON MAYYY OUUANNA TAKE ON MAY!?" and the weird operah bit, this song has one of the greatest outro's I've ever heard.

Call me crazy but I think it's an intentional mess, where they make you listen to the whole song in order to hear the beautiful outro.

when cadogan left the group, the band fell a lot in quality. Kevin is a good musician and Jenkins is a good songwriter. the two together was sensational
