"The time is right to settle scores" is an all-time tough guy line.

  3. L.... B....

The only band who could beat Queen in live show.😍😍😍😍😍

  4. W.... P....

Saw these guys in 76 they opened for Kansas. All around one of the best concerts ever.

  5. R.... C....

Phil was the best singer of all time!No one comes close to his feel and that amazing original tone he had in his voice.

  6. R.... P....

    Que Riff da porra

  7. j.... b....

The question of who was the greatest rock band ever to grace the stage on Gods green earth is THIN LIZZY, one of the other brilliant bands could quite match the Lizzy boys, this is not an insult to other top rocking bands, it is just that Lizzy had all the weapons

  8. S.... H....

    Fucking love this track! ❤️

  9. D.... ....

Robbo tore this song up Like a mutha !!

  10. S.... ....

hellyeah rock n roll perfect music \m/

  11. G.... T....

just thankful Gary moore fucked off as he ruined "still in love with you"

    G.... T....

i know his guitar is gine just dont like the verse he is in and vocal harmonys , just my opinion

    G.... T....

On Nightlife? You do realise that isn't Gary Moore's vocal, right? I'm not sure you know what you're talking about. Gary's guitar on that song was a demo and it's the reason Vertigo signed the band in 1974 as they assumed it was 17 year old Robbo on guitar.

    G.... T....

@Bathtubgeorge! I know It wasn't Moore's vocal. Robbo was asked to re-record the song but apparently refused, which is why the version with Moore's guitar and Frankie Miller on vocal made the cut.

    G.... T....

    was referring to Gert

    G.... T....

    @Bathtubgeorge! Ahhh.  ;-)

  12. C.... M....

One of the best live bands I ever saw, Johnny the Fox tour 1978ishh amazing , the support band were a little known blues band called Clover with a Harmonica player called "Huey Lewis"

  13. J.... s....

magnifique je suis toujours aussi fan

    J.... s....

    moi aussi;)

  14. g.... ....

    this song kicks ass

  15. p.... j....

Fuk ya Phil. Cheers to you.

    p.... j....

think you were saying fuk yeah phil ?

  16. g.... ....

Alot of people praise Robertson for the guitar work in Thin Lizzy, but Scott actually wrote a fair amount of the riffs in the band and especially on this album.  Robertson was brought in to record, but as you see from the cover, it's only Phil, Scott and Downey.

    g.... ....

your write, I have the cd with this tune  which I love , its one of there best tunes, scott did play a good amount of there guitar work on this release, but in this tune it says brian played lead guitar, voice box and keyboards. id say brian was just as good but didn't play as much as scott did in this album

    g.... ....

Brian played only the solos in 3 songs in this album (Opium Trail, Killer Without a Cause, That Woman's Gonna Break Your Heart). That's why he's not on the cover.

    g.... ....

that's what I said dumb ass !!!!!!!!!!! AND HE SHOULD OF BEEN ON THE COVER AS HE WAS PART OF THE BAND

    g.... ....

HE WASN'T PART OF THE BAND YOU FUCKING MORON. Phil had already kicked out Brian from the band and he played those 3 solos because Scott wanted Brian to have a little piece in that album and Phil let him play as a favour to Scott. Phil hated Brian by that time and there was no way to be in the front cover. You stupid fuck.

    g.... ....

Ok, now shut the fuck up and go back to your cave.

  17. C.... C....

Another great Thn Lizzy song with a fantastic drum beat.

    C.... C....

yes but Bad Reputation beats this tune for killer drumming

  18. P.... ....

Love Brian Downey's drumming on this song

  19. P.... ....

I've been on that binge the last week or so. Damn they were great!!!

  20. S.... ....

oh...i've just realized... this song ...at the end it is just clear...Iron Maiden...or at least their early years... they just reminds me to this... is it surprising !?

  21. s.... ....

I've been on a lizzy binge for the last few hours and these dudes rocked it for sure

  22. I.... S....

this is one of sickest leads of all time, Brian Robertson is Godhead !

    I.... S....

    Oh yes definitely

  23. A.... ....

Great, then go home suck on one til you hear sweet music never gonna be produced again

  24. J.... O....

I can never seem to find any tabs for this song, would love to have a crack at it!

  25. R.... C....

..Well said, I know exactly what your saying.. Phil was a musical gift to us.. "THIN LIZZY- Best rock and roll band of all time!"
    Totally agree!

  26. W.... ....

IMO, Thin Lizzy is a better and harder rocking band than Foghat. I'm not sure why Foghat was so much bigger in the US back then. I know "Slow Ride" had a cult type concert following like "Free Bird" did for Skynyrd. Maybe the reason was is simple as the popularity of "Slow Ride" over "The Boys are Back in Town." As far as those two songs, I do like "Slow Ride" better.

  27. S.... V....

They sold shedloads of records every where else but in an era when FOGHAT?!? were absolutely massive in North America Thin Lizzy couldn't get arrested - an eternal mystery....

  28. N.... ....

Haha see te voice of this guy no one compares to him Phil is the best vocalist of al time.

  29. W.... ....

I remember in 1977 this LP was critiqued as Mindless Stadium Rock only of interest to adolescents. Hard Rock was constantly vilified all through the late 60's to it's demise in the late 70's when huge Record sales inevitably dropped. The Music Industry Bureaucrats then scrambled to commercial youthful whim or anything else to make a quick Buck. We are left with a rarefied era filled with pinnacles of simply Great Creative Musicianship. The US Music Industry is now Mindless !!!

  30. B.... A....

If this isn't classic rock, nothing is!

    B.... A....

    better then modern day metal

  31. l.... ....

Wishbone Ash, early Scorpions, UFO and of course LIZZY.

  32. G.... ....

once again, thanks to the mighty sock for the vid

  33. G.... ....

once agin, thanks to the mighty sock for the vid

  34. g.... ....

Brian Robertson with the wah, such a recognizable guitar tone for the leads

  35. 1.... ....

One of Phil's greatest talents was to surround himself with great musicians- w/o them he would be playing acoustic by himself. There I said it.

  36. A.... ....

@NoRulesInNam This album is amazing. It's too bad it wasn't a double album. Scott Gorham really outdid himself on this one.

  37. T.... ....

    Deserves more views.

  38. H.... ....

    This song rocks so hard.

  39. s.... ....

@sinbysin666 wow probably cause people that listen to thin lizzy are actually people and not trolls lol

  42. C.... ....

@shurdi3 Lulz, they can spew their garbage as much as they want.

  43. s.... ....

@sinbysin666 Even though i'm pro gay rights
it's probably not the best idea to say that on youtube cause the trolls can eat you alive with that

  44. g.... ....

How can 3 minutes be so awesome?

  45. g.... ....

    Thank you Mr. Sock...

  46. C.... ....

@StyrbjornStarke Fuck off, homophobic piece of shit. Gay people should as well have the right to enjoy this music.

  47. S.... ....

If you dont like Thin lizzy your gay

  48. V.... C....

Very well written and performed song. Tasteful too. Love it!!!!!

  49. a.... ....

The finest singer songwriter of them all.The man was unique.
I saw him half a dozen times in the 70's mostly at the apollo in Manchester and those nights i will remember forever.
A poet and a true legend.I'd have loved to bought him a beer.

  50. D.... ....

You can't go wrong with dueling guitar harmonization!

  51. G.... F....

That's Phil , playing the Harmonica, by the way, a Man of many Talents

  52. B.... S....

Yes, and Maiden has said so. The twin dueling guitars are awesome.

  53. P.... 1....

Man this shit rooks Did this influence Maiden?

    P.... 1....

Pat 12Pack absolutely, maiden, Metallica, guns n roses... Shit if you play a heavy bass, twin guitars or funky hard rock, you are tipping your hat to philo n co. Only wish Phil Gary Moore and Rory made a super group

    P.... 1....
