Thin Lizzy Fight Or Fall Comments
thin lizzy i grew up with them still today at 60 i believe they were best band
Good song by an awesome band!
1 of my top 20 fave albums of all time
best band ever...end of story!
Not a bad track on Jailbreak. This song flies way under the radar.
That solo hits you from nowhere. Such a nice song.
Music for the soul.
Wait a minute here, kids listen to
Justin Beeper and not this. Maybe
Technology has advanced but
todays music hasn't.
Fight Or Fall
Thin Lizzy
Album: Jailbreak
Brothers here I stand
Spread my wings and take command
The sky he justly planned
The boy become a man
After all this time
I tell myself that I'm
Not just wasting time
Oh you know I'm not that way inclined
Brothers if you hear
Raise your flags and make it clear
There is more to fear
If we wait for another year
After all this time
I tell-a repeat myself that I'm
Just passing through time
After all this time
I tell myself that I'm
Not just wasting time
Oh you know I'm not that way inclined
Brothers fight or fall
It's man for man and one for all
No more can we crawl
Brothers, brothers hear the call
After all this time
I tell myself that I'm
Not just wasting time
Oh you know I'm not that way inclined
Brother brother
Brother brother
Brother fight or fall
It's man for man and one for all
Brother brother
Brother brother
What you want?
We gotta fight for one another!
Writer(s): Philip Parris Lynott
℗ ℗ 1976 Mercury Records Limited
Released on: 1976-01-01
So mournful and reflective, showing the other side of Thin Lizzy. Touching thoughtful lyrics with a solo that was sympathetic to the songs feel and subject matter. What a little gem of a song. Lizzy were very special.
Anybody feel like i do in wishing that some of these Lizzy songs would go on forever.🎸😎
sooo many great memories from my youth from this incredible tune....RIP Mr Lynott......your life was worthwhile and insperational l too many
Love this song!!!!!
What I'd do to have a drink and a smoke with Phil.
Brings back so many great memories from my youth
https://youtu.be/y1OQtgS9YNg
A great Song. Phil the poet and the fighter. Unbeatable!
Sometimes you have to fight for what is right...even if it means taking the fall.
R.I.P Phi Lynott
best THIN LIZZY song 👌👌👌
There are a lot of 'best Thin Lizzy songs' and that is a good thing
I'm 29 years old and just heard this song for the first time this year, song gives me chills
Lizzy were not just a rock band, and tracks like this prove that.this song is 42yrs old now.but timeless.this was the genius of philip parris lynott.miss you big man.x
Understated, reserved, melancholy, reflective and so soulful with haunting lyrics and a truly sympathetic solo. An object lesson in less is more from the Thin Men. No ordinary babd!
Excellent wat a song day were the buiss untouchable day live in our memories
How cud u not like this music. Absolutely astounding
Still Listening to it@ May 2018!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another classic from Lizzy. They have so many great songs I can't keep track of them all.
Fantastic Album.....Thin Lizzy at there very best, had the privilege to see them twice live something that will stay with me forever.....Miss them so much, just think what they could have achieved moving forward!!
Running Back-Fight or Fall- Romeo- top 3 on jailbreak
StayingBack71 the whole album is worth listening to
On repeat
One of my favourite groups ever !! A time when music was honest, true, pure and uncomplicated and this songs sums that all up !! Love it !!
I Tell'AH My Self,Tell'AH My Self,Tell'AH My Self,Tell'AH My Self,Tell'AH My Self,Tell'AH My Self !!!! WHAT 'CHA WANT.
Get up ! stand up ! fighting for your right !
like Bob, Phil died at the age of 36. RIP Men
The best song of all time.
10 dislikes cant believe it.
Bothers Brothers heed the call...
I love Thin Lizzy. The greatest band of all time for me...
You're exactly right!
understoood completely!!!!!!!
I must humbly agree, they are great!
My dad was ordered to drive the stacker truck at work by three successive bosses. The top jolly threatened him with his job against the backdrop of a strong union in those days. It was not in dad's contract to drive the stacker truck. Dad didn't get the sack. Nor did he drive the stacker truck. He did not publicise it in his workplace. He just came home and told his family. I'm publicising it.
It boggles my mind how this is not on the greatest hits ?
Saw them in 79 in Little Rock opening for Journey. They blew Journey away!
I can top that. Saw them in '77 in Philly, opening for Queen. And yes, they blew Queen away.
Saw them in Toronto somewhere way back in time.
They blew me away!
love you forever Phil
Brothers, fight or fall !
It's man for man and one for all !
After all this time, I'm still in love with you, Phil Lizzy....
Favorite track off Jailbreak. Remember seeing them when I was 15 in Concert with Rush at the Municipal Auditorium in San Antonio during the Bicentennial summer of '76. Place reeked of weed ! Those were America's halcyon days. Great time to be young.
Ron Pena thats dope as fuck, this band is so influential and being alive during this era of rock must have been remarkable
Hi Ron. Ab-Soul-ROCKIN-utely‼️ I was also 15 at the time., but not as fortunate, to have seen them Live., especially in 76. Must have been EPIC!! I have all the Thin Lizzy, and Rushs Music, from the 70s in my collection, and it still sounds as Great!! as it did some 42 years ago. So Lucky!! to have come of age in the 1970s. "Long Live Rock & Roll!!!"
I`d give all to see Lizzy in their prime. Happy for you.
Absolutely underrated track. My favorite too.
2nd favourite for me, Emerald was the best and a beast of a song :)
Robbbo killing it
Fight or die.
500!! YAY
8 dislikes wankers
And this band ain't in the RnR-RoF. HA. I mock the f'n place. LONG LIVE T-Lizzy.
its in my own hall of fame, thats good enough
What I didnt know they werent.
Hall of Shame
This song still sounds timely in spite of the unrest these days.
great thin lizzy song, i always fight never fall. everyone has to fight back for what is right. great song.
anyone got guitar tabs for this song??? chords and stuff...???
The " telling myself, tellin my,tellin myself" part sounds so ahead of its time. Almost like it's from a hip hop song today. Very cool track.
rob and scott knew the power of the major and minor 7 chords.
Great lizzy song, very cool.... love the delicate solo....
Brings a lump to my throat
First album ever bought
At least I set the bar high😉
Whatever happened to rock?😪
Also this was my first album, God what great memories, where has the time gone?????
Mate I really don't know 10years can go in a heartbeat
Take some time to smell the roses
Thank The Lord for YouTube for some proper golden memories
Rock never moved on. It grew its hair longer and grunted more and played faster but none of that made it any better. Lizzy were a great band.
I tella myself I tella myself tella myself
Always thought this was Robbo, not Scott, playing the solo. Either way, great!
Brothers, fight or fall !
It's man for man and one for all !
No more can we crawl
Brothers, brothers hear the call !
After all this time, I'm still in love with you, Lizzy....
From an old French fan !
Salut! J'habite en France et joue la musique. :)
one of my favorite lizzy songs.....
mee toooo....is very special
man, the World lost a great talent when we lost Phil. I didn't really "get" Thin Lizzy way back some 30 years ago, but their songs and style sure hit me close to the heart now. Love this song.
his spirit still lives in his music. he will never leave us.
excellent compilation, shows the beauty of Thin Lizzy. They still sound good.
wonderful delicate song... ^^ fight!
Way ahead of their time then and now...timeless.
Was Phil Lynott with the I.R.A?
no it isnt
Good song for cruising through the countryside, just nice and slow...
One of my favorites. Very underrated song. Its better than most on Jailbreak.
My best mate used to play this, I moved to Canada from the UK and lost contact, great tune, always reminds me of him when I listen to this.
SPD is that with or without foreplay dude? Either way no band can touch the classic Lizzy line up- touching funny electric live and the amazing Phil Lynott best song writer in the history of music. Aint no band in the world can touch these guys at their prime. Fantastic.
brothah brothah...
79 my era the red army won the cup i came alive enuff said lizzy the best band in my life time hope i live to 100
This song is better than a lighly toasted hot dog bun with a well cooked sausage inside it that is smothered in mustard.
RIP Philo. They don't make them like you anymore.
this song of one of my favourite thin lizzys ilove it!!
01:53 escalofrío (shiver)
I try to remain calm but anyone let alone 5 people disliking this has pissed me off, get back to ya drum and bass and justin bieber you idiots
The most heartfelt song!! ^^

IRELAND!!!!!!
"Just passing through time". Says it all really.
one of my favs!!
I tell myself I'm just passing through time. My favorite Thin Lizzy song ever!!
The guitar...it sings!
I was 19 when I discovered a Thin Lizzy, it's been 5 years and I still consider these dudes, the best I've heard and this álbum is basic and necessary for any lover of good music and epic guitars and this is one of my fav. for the Jailbreak.
Alvaro Clouds
I grew up since 70s with Phil Lynott and his mates. His voice, his timing....wow. Above of all: the harmony
This is sublime. No more words to say.
@jaknife99or Motley Crue from America
The Stooges are America
@LifesonFan4Life
Aerosmith from America
CCR is AMERICA !!!
the boy.. become a man
memories of driving across Texas from TTU to Houston on college break the summer before my world came to an end.. i wouldn't change a thing though
Thin Lizzy were the greatest most lyrical hard rock band ever...petition...need to be entered into rock n roll hall of fame
The best hard rock is stuff like this; it hits hard but it's euphoric as well :D
@LifesonFan4Life I could not agree more
This is a great deep track! It is my favorite number on the album. It starts soft, crisp, and clear, then gets strong.
I feel like making myself a Paddy's straight up and crying... Sad tune...
1:54 is sweet and tasty, but Phil's emotion and depth at 2:39 with that sweet ass guitar in the background space puts it together
ok, let's sing along.... brother fight or fall its man for man and one fall, no more can we crawl,l brother brothers heed the call
Beautiful. I loved Lizzy, and loved Phil......
I'm glad my blood is Irish.
Thanks for uploading this classic track.
