I'll be honest, not a huge Thin Lizzy fan--they're good but not "Rock Hall" worthy in my opinion. What I do know is that the "Cowboy Song" is very underrated and jams!!!

I was 16 I think in my first cover band, my singer was a thin Lizzy nut, we covered boys, cold sweat and hollywood.he asked me if I wanted to go see thin Lizzy at the Philly spectrum, angel was opening up, (I'm not a big angel fan but I love the drummer Barry brandst style and sound like if John Bonham and Michael derosier from heart had a baby....but oh to see thin Lizzy play before phil passed..I didn't go, I think it was to stay with this girl or something if I remember, sometimes I want to kick myself in the nuts for not going!, This was 81? Don't know who the guitar lineup was, I wouldn't have minded seeing Sykes to be honest. I think it was around the time i saw rhandy Rhodes play at the tiny tower theatre with Ozzys first solo tour, I was so close I could strum his guitar!

Visited my Sister in Texas, went to see Thin Lizzy in San Antonio, the concert ended up being part of "Live and Dangerous" I'll never forget that night, that show, and that band. What a life, man, what a life.

If only Phil and all the boys in Thin Lizzy know what they did to me and my 6 brothers when we were young, they lead us astray, we traveled all over the place in a beat-up old car, tricked our way in to some gigs when money was short, we drank some beers and whiskey, smoked fags and go up the best mischief whenever we could but did nobody and harm. we got to see that best gigs played on this planet by the best rocking band of all times, we would get home next morning and often to shattered to do a days work, our parents never once complained when we talked about Thin Lizzu or played their music. Thank you Phil & Thin Lizzy boys for leading us astray, we enjoyed every single moment of it and we had the greatest times of our lives
