This is my favorite off the album as of now tho theres so many good ones on here. I just discovered this song and already have it almost memorized it's giving me life rn! Even posted some videos of me dancing freestyle to it on my facebook. Haven't danced in a while either so felt good to express. This is making me sing more again been in music production mode. I can safely say TesseracT is now among my top bands. Fking EPIC sound, writing, performance just EVERYTHING. Damn! So good! I can't stop listening to this. I neeeeeeed to see them live! :O

both are true. they really do make me think of so many artists I love but THAT is the mark of a TRUE artist imo when they have a massive cache of influences to draw from and hybrid it all together into something fresh and new which is EXACTLY what they did. In front of Gojira in NYC last night. Better live than studio!

Just saw these guys last night in Toronto with Gojira.  It was killer. While Gojira is going to win in the brutality department these guys just sounded better. They had such a full sound it was almost perfect. The bass was punching you in the chest, you could hear every note from the guitar. Drums were clear and the singer sounded just like this. Best show of the year by far.

Saw them this year at the Prognosis festival, and while there was many other great bands like Leprous (that I love) or Haken, they really slapped me in the face with their performance, and it was the last one of the fest, a great way to end it, was just awesome.

+Jarred Williams The very first note if the riff is the 4th beat of the last bar in the riff, so the counting only starts on the second note. Going from that, the guitar is in 6/4. Snare drum lands on the 3 and 6, and then back to one. Could also count it as 3/4 if you're that type of person but the riff only loops after 6 bars so, 6/4.

+ZombryaTheDark I learned so much about time signatures since I started listening to prog. Some of the most confusing time sig changes can happen right under your nose as well. It's good to listen out for things like that so you can develop a better ear for it, haha!

Technically everything in this song is in 3/4 or 4/4, but the syncopation and polyrhythmic structure of all the instruments gives it that weird feel.

it's a 12/8 meter I believe, the guitar riff is more of a 4/4 sound and the drummer has kind of a 3/4 feel to it
