Me and my aunt were sitting down listening to her old 45s the other day. when I put this song on to play she began to cry. When the song ended I asked why the song made her cry. She said that when you get to the end of your life you'll understand. She had just recently been diagnose with congestive heart failure. The doctors don't think she has many years left. She asked me if I would play this at her funeral. I promised her I would. I've been listen to this song over and over since then.

A few days ago, my sister was trying out a metallica cassette tape she found in a car that was about to be crushed, surprised to find it still worked. My mom was more surprised, however, that my sister's radio doubled as a cassette player. So my mom pulled out a bunch of old cassettes, and found some of her and her half-siblings singing christmas carols. A man's voice spoke, their father. My mom's dad died when she was fairly young, (maybe 14) so I never got to meet him, and it was the first time I had ever heard his voice. There was another tape, for my mom, of him playing guitar and singing a few songs. This was one of them, and since today is her birthday, I'm planning on singing it to her. Wish me luck
