The Temptations on this recording were:

Ron Tyson on lead vocals

On background:
Otis Williams(Tenor/Baritone)
Ali-Ollie Woodson(Tenor)
Theo Peoples(Baritone)
Melvin Franklin (Bass)

Ali Woodson left shortly after the recording of this album due to illness.
Melvin Franklin was very ill and only completed seven tracks.
He died on February 23rd,1995 leaving Otis as the last original founding member.

Bass singer Ray Davis was brought in to replace Melvin to finish the album but also left after due to an illness.
Ray eventually died on July 5th,2005.
Harry McGilberry replaced Ray Davis as bass singer.

Terry Weeks was soon brought in to filled the baritone position as Theo Peoples took lead replacing Ali Woodson.

Ali Woodson died of leukemia on May 30th,2010.

Long story here we go.....

Melvin Franklin,an original founding member and bass singer,died during the recording of this album “For Lovers Only”.
He was able to complete only seven tracks.

This left Otis as the last original founding member.

Ray Davis was brought in to replaced Melvin Franklin.
He completed the rest of the album.
He fell ill and was replaced by Harry McGilberry.

Ali Woodson also fell ill after the album was released.
He left before they shot this video.

So that is why there are only four Tempts.
Theo took the lead position that Ali held and his baritone position was filled by Terry Weeks.
Terry Weeks and Ron Tyson is still in Otis’ group today along with Larry Braggs and Willie Greene.

This is a beautiful slamming album.the video is awesome.

So very true.  some of the lesser known of their songs are masterpieces the only problem I have is finding a favourite out of the lots of great songs. These songs will last forever in my mind and in my heart. Pure Magic to the ears. I hope I'm not alone in the world over this .Like so many great artists from the Motown / Stax / Atlantic stables. Dizzy G Ali passed away in 2010.
He was my favorite singer Ali Ollie Woodson. Not one temptation went to his funeral.
When Levi Stubbs from the 4 tops died the 3 others of the group were at his funeral.
They even went to Ali's funeral.

This album dropped in 95. This video looks like it was done in 1996. By that time Ali had left, Harry McGilbery had recently joined and there were four Temps until they brought on Terry Weeks. This lineup: Harry, Otis, Ron Tyson, and Theo Peoples. These four + Terry Weeks recorded "Stay" and the majority of Phoenix Rising.

This should be the kind of music we have now. But no. All we have is people being thirsty & wanting big booty hoes.

In the 90's the Temptations had a lot of line-up changes due to illness and other issues. It was a tumultuous time for them, but they made it through. The reason there are for tempts in this video is not due to one being kicked out. Ali Woodson had throat cancer. He was never able to rejoin because of it, and it eventually killed him. This was while he was out due to illness, but before Terry Weeks joined to replace him. Also in this video is Harry McGillberry, bass singer. He's not on the song.

Also this album was released in 95. Why are they doing a vid for it in 04? This must have been right after Ray Davis and Ali Woodson left and they just didnt release it til 04, maybe.

i saw The Temps in June of 016 in Omaha Nebraska, what a concert, i grew up with their music in L. A.

i met Melvin Franklin in 1978 in Los Angeles
