The Guy in The Thumbnail was Eldrige Al Bryant who was fired in 1963 at a New Year's Eve Party. When the fellows hit the big time, he was crushed because he missed out. Otis Williams saw him in 1968 and he was a mess. He was al alcoholic who would die of liver disease a couple of years later. In future years I had no idea how many folks missed out in being part of Supergroups. Case in point. The Backstreet Boys, The Beach Boys, Beatles, Duran Duran, The Go Gos, The Miracles, New Kids On The Block N'Sync, The Spice Girls, Supremes, and TLC can attest to that fact. For some it was a bitter pill to swallow but for others it's no big deal.

I’m a 90s baby (94) so I grew basically watching this movie and unto this day it’s still one of my favorite movies ! Crazy thing is I didn’t listen to the original version of the songs until I got older and I like the original songs better than the movie version ! It has a different feel to it and I just love the temptations anyways they were the backbone Fr the soul the heart . One of Motown’s Greatest Artists!

He said Mary Wilson saw Eddie coming, he said she arched her back and got this come hither look on her face. He said Eddie was looking real gooooooood.

We didn't get music like this on a constant until Motown hit the scene, it was like we were going thru the civil rights movement and they finally opened the radio up from constant black music.  The Temps were on fire and there was hit after hit, protest time and party time, nothing but the best of music from the best group in soul history.  There were some close seconds but none like the Temptin Temps

My eyes well up with tears when I realize how good these times were. And how this generation will never know what they’ve missed. I was 7 when this song came out and Motown was still the new kid on the block. A New York kid to the core (still am). Life was sooo good for everybody I knew. This song came out in the spring and by the summer you just heard it everywhere. It just seemed to be floating through the air. Those big horns at the intro. I used to watch the adults snap their fingers to this new kind of music. There was a lot of turmoil in the country but not on my block in the bronx. Life moved slow and people were happy. So sad that it’s gone. Never thought it would end. Sing these kind of lyrics to a young girl now and she’d look at you like you crazy. Love? What’s that?

I was 10 years old when this song came out. Oh! The memories of my father on Saturday mornings fixing us breakfast and dancing around the kitchen when this song came on. I can still see him with a spatula in His hand doing the “Hunch” 😆😂 Kinda like a shuffle. Lovely memories!
