I don't know why white people were so resistant to this type of music during that era. I will reiterate I won't use the words white people in the collective sense of the words The older generation of Caucasian were the ones that were resistant not the majority of the young. And the only reason for their resistance was similar if not the same as what occurred during the rap phenomenon of the 80s and 90s. It had nothing to do with the lyrics in my opinion It had more to do with keeping a perpetual wedge between the young generation of whites specifically young white woman but young whites in general. And the young gyrating, indiscipline in their opinion "crazed" young men producing and dancing to this so-called "jungle" music. But to quote a song from one of those "crazed" soul groups of the 70s. "Disco is where the happy people go".However as we know young people of all generations and ilk always gravitate like a fly to fire where the most fun is.
