Not enough homage paid to Andrew Wood here. I scrolled the comments for a while and didn't see his name mentioned. The history of Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam, Sound Garden, etc, are all intertwined. Beautiful album dedicated to a beautiful soul. I don't think Cornell ever got over Wood's death completely, and Pearl Jam as we know it today could have been much different without Wood's passing. One love all.

This song is difficult for me to listen to now. Chris was like few other rockstars in his day. He was a very serious artist. He cranked out a ton of good music and lyrics -and it seemed as though he was capable of much, much more. But all the times that I've seen him on TV over the years, it appeared as though he was dealing with something. Even when he was reveiving an award in front of thousands of people, a big part of him was alone in his head. And that's sad as fuck. An unusually talented and passionate superhero consumed by a never-ending, self-destructive illness. Nothing could be more heartbreaking. Godspeed, Chris

Still one of the best albums I've ever owned. I don't know how anyone could say that they didn't like it. It's an all-star band remembering a friend and nowadays I listen to it and think of Chris Cornell. This is one of my favorite albums and a lot of my friends seem to be burnt out on it but for me it never gets old and I jam just as hard as I did the first time I heard it.

I get almost insulted when people don’t know about this album but claimed to be music aficionado‘s. This entire album and I mean every single song is a treasure and I am beyond honored and happy that my wife got tickets for that tour and we saw them at the form before we lost one of the greatest voices In the history of rock ‘n’ roll. I remember Chris play some Black Sabbath the cure and of course mother love bone and he just killed it. This is one of the greatest albums of all time and I wish new music would move me the way that this does but it does not. Rest in peace Chris

@Jeff Polk I found this on cassette in Atlanta in 1990, it was a promo copy and only $2.99. I was always checking out new stuff and I liked it right away but it never really took off for a couple years after like 93 did it get played and heard.

this is the saddest, most beautiful piece of song writing EVER!!! I've loved Chris' voice since late 1989. But it took me till about 2016 to really appreciate his lyrics. i rediscovered Call Me a Dog right after meeting my son's mother? thats forever OUR SONG, but when Chris made a ballad, he wrote and sang his heart out. It's chilling to me the warnings he gave the world in this song. I love Chris ETERNALLY he is my all time favorite singer even though Anselmo is my hero. And thats placing him above Ozzy with Sabbath! I love you Chris man, somebody has left me out on a ledge, shes pushed me over the edge and she loved me and left me for dead. I just pray that I can take your advice and not kill my time
