During the making of Lady T, Rich Rudolph told her "you don't need me baby". That's because Rick made sure she had the last detail to do it on her own. Rick also taught her the business side of the industry, and most important, to won her own music. Rick wanted to make sure she was successful.

This is a different kind of song from Teena, but I love it, kinda has a folksy feel to it. Man, Teena was so versatile as an artist and musician. On top of having a great voice, She wrote pretty much all her songs, produced, played instruments,etc. She was so unbelievably talent and had never unfortunately gotten her due. I agree with others that her lyrics are like poetry. Her songwriting is so underrated. SHE is just underrated as a whole. What a talent. There will never be another.
