Tedeschi Trucks Band - I'm Gonna Be There Lyrics

Don't worry bout your lover, baby
Cause I'm gonna be just fine
It's all about you now
And we're running out of time
Now if you let me I wanna show you
That I'm with you and you can let go
Don't let the anger build too long
We don't need it, it keeps us from growing

I'm gonna be there
Through the thunder and the rain
I'm gonna be right there
Through the tears and all the rage
And I'm gonna be there
Any time you call my name
I'll be around
Oh I'll be around

Who's gonna be there for you
When the stars fall from the sky
Who's gonna be right there
To wipe the sadness from your eyes
The sun is breaking out and clearing out our way
I know, it gets better
So many hours wasting away but we're gonna get through
The air is tasting sweeter

So I'm gonna be there
Through the thunder and the rain
And I'm gonna be right there
Through the tears and all the rage
And I'm gonna be there
Any time you call my name
I just want to thank you
You're the one that frees my soul
I want you to know me
And every day I learn from you
I just want to tell you
I'm gonna keep on running towards your light
Just really need to thank you
I'm gonna breathe you in every day of my life

I'm gonna be there
Through the thunder and the rain
I'm gonna be right there
Through the tears and all the rage
I'm gonna be there
Any time you call my name
We're gonna get through
And I know it gets better
Hear my song

Tedeschi Trucks Band I'm Gonna Be There Comments
  1. I'm_from _Liverpool

I can't thank all involved with this beautiful band enough for breathing life into music. I am humbled by their constant dedication, homage to all who brought us here, and honest soulful approach to their music. They all clearly do it because they love it so much they know nothing else. There is a palpable power when you are a part of their show unlike any other I have ever witnessed. I'm excited to go to church tomorrow night at CMAC👍 love from us all in Canandaigua, NY

  2. Brian Prendergast

This track shows a lot of maturity on the part of Derek Trucks. Thats a smoking solo, but he share the stage with the backup vocalists that and providing good back and forth.

  3. gary laubscher

I just have to wonder if Derek put all this together with the strings and all , or Susan? I would say Derek . What do you think, It says producer Derek Trucks but I still wonder who really wanted all that  backround , who ever did it ,I love it, Live Long & Rock On...

    Kimberly Spina

Kofi did all the string arrangements. RIP Kofi.

    Jim Carroll

    kofi did the arranging

  4. gary laubscher

It's been a while since this 70 year old man got goose bumps , I miss it, but it happened with this song.

  5. gary laubscher

That backround  with the violins and the rest of the string sounds makes this great band even GREATER , what a sound. Live Long & Rock on...

I like the light orchestra in the mix. Sounds like a song that could breathe live with a kick ass solo sandwiched in there for derek.

Mindfull, Me too, I actually sat up from position to take notice and applaud it. Very nice & classey , this band just keeps coming up with GREAT stuff , Live Long & Rock On...

gary laubscher and we 'had church' at Meadowbrook - a qwk stop before Beacon. Parked 20 yds from their bus ... I wanted to .. Anyway, yes us Delta Bohemians ...had Electrifying Church. ...so thrilled that you "sat up in attention" too. So very soulful. 🌿

The greatest band of our time. I drove ten hours to see them at the Ryman two weeks ago and my only regret is that I didn't buy tickets for all three nights they were there.

Chris S. - Guitar, Music, & Hiking Blog

    I think I agree.
