Tedeschi Trucks Band - Calling Out To You Lyrics

There was a lady on the mountain
Eyes like pools of water in the sun
Hair flowed down her shoulders like the river
I could see her chest move up and down

Started calling out
She was calling out to you
Hear her calling out
She's been calling out to you

You gotta do right by your woman
And she'll do right by you

Walking with a mason jar of fireflies
She can't find the light she needs within
You can hear her echo off the mountainside
Awful sinking feeling you can't swing

She was calling out
She was calling out to you
You hear her calling out
Calling out to you

You gotta do right by your woman
And she'll do right by you

She was calling out
She was calling out to you
You hear her calling now
Calling out to you
You gotta do right by your woman
And she'll do right by you

Calling out to you
Calling out to you
Calling out to you
Calling out
Calling out to

TTB is so good in so many ways. Susan’s voice is so strong, and Derek’s playing is always great! Love the cabin on the pond setting

  16. K.... B....

    Beautiful ❤️

  17. I.... T....

I was introduced to TTD by a friend, they are quite simply one of the most amazing bands I have ever heard. I am also collecting their stuff that they did when they had their own bands. Susan is simply beautiful and so much like Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin, but with her own twist. Derek a master of finger picking and slide. Long may they continue.

  18. M.... C....

...I've met and spoke with Derek , Susan and backup musicians / singers / vocalists ...some of the nicest most humble people you'll ever meet ...when you talk with them , they actually engage with you ...cheers T / T & crew ..🍷🍷

  19. N.... C....

  37. v.... t....

Touches the soul rip to kofi

  38. S.... T....

This sucks. What happened to music? "Do right by your woman"? And she'll take everything from you with the help of the state... Your kids, your personal possessions, your future, your life. In many ways rock and roll and music in general, used to reflect reality. Sometimes in the most subliminal ways... In a sublime way. But not any more. No longer are the songs about something that we the listener make it about through our imagination. all the songs like this are about messages that are based in complete and total left-wing political ideology. and look how these people just throw it in our faces, it is so abrupt and arrogant sounding. It parrots things from long ago that had some kind of relevance then but have absolutely none now except within the minds of the dumbed down and deluded.

  39. J.... J....

wow that was superb, after having seen first Susan a few times then ttb a couple more, this stripped down porch jam blew me away

  40. S.... M....

    Very Refreshing!!!!!! Well Done!!!

  41. I.... B....

makes me want to move down South

  42. M.... C....

And suddenly the world doesn't seem so bad...

  43. r.... x....

    That's right

  44. R.... O....

Very pretty...and the song is nice too..

  45. T.... A....

    RIP Kofi

  46. D.... B....

    Perfection

  47. P.... M....

I wonder if that pipe next to Derek is just for esthetic purposes or if anyone in the group smokes it!

  48. T.... M....

Fucking right! I really needed that ! Thanks

  49. M.... ....

Isn't that the house Duane Allman lived in when he was playing for muscle shoals?!

  50. D.... M....

That's American music royalty right there.

  51. G.... ....

And it adds a drum part.

  52. N.... ....

    Rest easy, brother Kofi ✊

  83. R.... B....

I've known about Kofi's passing for a while now, but hearing the flute here made it land home. It does hurt.

Years ago in college my friends and I were big Derek trucks fans, and therefore fans of each member. When we had learned Yonrico Scott had a band of his own and was playing locally in Charlotte NC at the Double door we went. Todd Smallie on bass and Kofi on keys/flute. We were the first there and sat front row. An older couple sat behind us. Well in walks Kofi and we were whispering to eachother "did you see? That's Kofi right there!". A voice behind me said "yes that's Kofi, he's my son.". It was Mr and Mrs burbridge. I said "oh man! Please take our seats! You must be so proud of your son's Kofi and Oteil!" Big smiles and "yes we are." We got to meet Kofi and the other members. Kofi was just a very smooth, laid back guy. So sorry to see his passing.

    R.... B....

    That's a really nice story.

    R.... B....

So much strifeful division these days. I wish we could all just chill and enjoy sweet music and just get along. Maybe giving your good seats to someone is the way to start. Kudos

    R.... B....

saw their show last night and learned about Kofi's passing for the first time. it was still a fabulous show of course, and the new (?) keyboard player did an excellent job, but when they played Angel From Montgomery and the flute did not come in... he left a huge hole in all of our hearts

  84. T.... M....
