I think I'm of the mindset of most of the others, not just for the masses but for the artists they may be able to reach. Who will be willing to go out on the battlefield and pull them out? Also, this music can actually open up a door for people who are not fans of Christian or gospel music to start listening to it. I believe that the Keys are life and doctrine. What does your music say, not just what beat does it have. And how are we living? If we praise all day but the life doesn't match...

Heck, just because of Wagner, and the beliefs of many of the composers, we could count the Classical genre out because it is "worldly". Same with every single other genre, like you said.

Also, it's like the story of the man healing by praising Jesus. The disciples asked Jesus if they should stop him, but he told them not to. As long as he was praising Jesus with his miracles, it was truth and pure. These rappers speak the gospel through their genre of music, bringing people to Christ in the same. The world thinks you are boring

They are relating to those of the world so they can reach out to them. Hip Hop is a culture, and so many people in the world are simply not going to receive the message of Christ if it isn't through this music because of how deep or stuck they are in the world. They aren't being hypocritical because they don't act/talk like the world. The world talks about hate and sin, these guys talk about love and Christ. Each tree is recognized by their fruit.

What's happening to all us brothers in Christ, how can we condemn songs with lyrics that give glory to god, just because it has a certain beat makes it ungodly, what about normal Christian music; I know I can find songs with regular beats that hate on Jesus. Where losing touch with the Bible don't try and condemn people other believers where condemnation is not needed. The saved save, were supposed to bring people to Jesus based of TRUE BIBLICAL TEACHINGS NOT CONDEM MEN WHO REACH NON BELIVERS.

@nilladiscgolfer you can deff listen and know that there actuallly sending a biblical/ encouraging msg to brothers and sisters in christ and that maybe have came from different walks of life.

Jesus didn't change the way his message sounded (the words and how he preached), but we're talking about sound of the music (beats and flow). Lecrae and Reach Records haven't changed their overall message. It's still straightforward and blatantly Christian.
The difference between Korn and TFK is THE MESSAGE. They SOUND the same. But their message differs substantially.

@kaeldegrey Your logic is invalid. There's a difference. It's in the lyrics. The style of music is irrelavent. Some people aren't going to come to faith by listening to a preacher. Some need to hear the gospel in another way. So, you worship your way with other believers who worship the same way you do, and I'll worship my way with people who get the gospel the way I do. Don't judge or criticise other people's way of worship and evangelism.

@chrishend0h2 I agree with nilladiscgolfer. I always loved hip hop/rap but I never like the lyrics I just love the beats. For a long time I was trying to find beats as great as those used in secular music and I finally found them. Hip Hop/Rap aren't ungodly or secular it is the lyrics that make the difference. Where would you place classical music? I am thankful for the alternative for all the Hip Hop/Rap lovers that don't want to listen to songs with curse words and songs about sex, violence...

@kaeldegrey That's where you are wrong. People aren't going to listen to your message if they don't like the way it sounds. Christians who rap and play in metal bands are just reaching out to people who need the message. It's just music. Society labels where it belongs. God doesn't care what it sounds like, as long as it's done in His name and for His glory. Jesus called out the Pharisees for making the same kind of blind accusations you're plastering on YouTube.

@chrishend0h2 Brother, what makes you believe that? These guys are worshipping Christ just as Hillsong or Jesus Culture would do. Just because they add a beat to the song and take away the singing and replace it with rapping does not make them less holy. And if you think this is bad, you would faint at the sound of Christian deathcore. People screaming and grunting in the name of God is beauty.

@chrishend0h2 I don't think that Lecrae or any other Christian hip hop artist knows or thinks that what they are doing is wrong. And personally, I don't either. But saying that they shouldn't do hip hop because it's a worldly genre could apply to any other genre as well. If their music didn't sound similar to secular hip hop then they wouldn't be reaching those who do not believe in Christ. I see where you're coming from, but Christians aren't the ones that need to be saved.

I see where you're coming from, but I think everyone glorifies the world in some way or another. The only man not to was Jesus.

@chrishend0h2 I don't think they would change. They are doing what the LORD has led them to do, and they are gifted artists that are using their talents for him. I respect your opinion, but I believe there IS holy hip hop, and even though this song isn't blatantly Christian, the lyrics are still pretty straightforward. I would rather they make quality music than not. It is reaching many non-Christians too. I don't see how there is no such thing as holy hip hop when they're living it right now.

BTW, this song, although it isn't the most straight forward Christian rap song I've ever heard, is still clearly made to glorify God. I'm not going to argue with you though.
