Wow!!!!!  Taylor Dayne is just utterly fantastic!  Her range and voice is unlike any other.  The power she has.  She doesn't get the recognition or acclaim she truly deserves. Her high notes in this song are probably operatic.  She holds onto that extreme high note well over 30 secs. She is coming to Milwaukee, WI Jan of 2015. Can't wait to see her live in a intimate setting at The Northern Lights concert hall.  I hope & pray she does this song there.  It's probably my favorite song of hers. ( in her vast library. )

well, since Taylor wrote this song for Tina Turner, she can interpret it any way she wants!

Taylor does have a rock version.  This is just the a remixed dance version that was included on the album.

Oh.  I don't know.  Just look up "Taylor Dayne Whatever you want original version" & see what comes up.  You'll know it when you hear it.  It sounds similar's to Tina's but without the electric guitar.

Tina turners version is miles better.

Taylor was one of the writers of the song with 2 other guys. She gave it to Tina, but technically in the writing sense, it's Taylor's. She basically re-did her own song without having originally done it. She has another version on this same album that sounds like a re-make of Tina's version. This is just the dance mix.
