Here’s my story: I’m in fifth grade right now. This boy liked me in second grade but I thought he was weird ( he wasn’t in my class in second grade.) In third grade he is in my class. I kind of get to know him but just as friends. Then, we go into fourth grade and we are in the same class again! Our teacher moves our desks and we sit next to each other. I developed feelings for him. Every day he would stare at me and when we made eye contact, he’d smile. I took a chance and asked him to be my valentine. He said yes! He got me a huge pink teddy bear for Valentine’s Day and I got him a small teddy bear with his favorite candy. After that, things got weird. Our teacher moved our desks and he sat next to a different girl. I sat like two rows behind him. I noticed he stopped talking to me and stopped smiling at me. He smiled at her instead. My heart started to hurt. I tried to fix it by handing him notes ... he never replied. Fast forward to fifth grade. Me, him and the other girl are all in different classes. I still like him so I take another chance and tell him how I feel. He says he just wants to be friends. I told him it’s okay, but really it’s not. Every day I think about him and how he used to look at me but now he always looks at that girl and smiles at her and is constantly around her at recess. Good thing she doesn’t like him, but I have a feeling she will start liking him. Plus, he always sits with her at lunch and she gets annoyed. That girl is my friend btw. But it’s fine, I’m just breaking inside.
