Vocals are shit and so is the guitar work. I used to like her until I realized it takes no talent to mindlessly loop riffs that have 20 effects on it.

And her excitement didn’t match the sounds. No big huge moments happened when she exploded in bobs and weaves

Her vocals are amazing but definitely killed the whole vibe of guitar playing she lead up with, I was expecting less try hard more simplistic to compliment the multiple layers of guitar that already carry the lyrical rhythm of the song.

this cover really missed the mark for me.. i found the first 5 mins pleasant but boring like background cafe music and it doesnt really build or go anywhere until it breaks down. her singing also was uninspiring and sounded like someone still half asleep babbling into their pillow.


contrasting this with the highly danceable original with distinct base, drums, drop and build in intensity throughout and i wonder why she chose it to cover?

i mean i love when musicians reinterpret a song but to reinterpret something you need to find things in the original to take, change, and represent in a new light where as this to me sounded more like the lyrics grafted onto a smooth guitar riff.



that said i thought the last 3 min jam was excellent (tho it could have been tacked onto just about anything) and i do think she is super impressive in what she does...

just a shame to me as a fan of both to find the cover fall so flat

Just curious, but when it comes to Australian artists, are metal musicians more mainstream/talked about? Obviously Im biased, but my only knowledge of Australian music has come from bands like Parkway Drive, Thy Art is Murder, and Polaris

@Sean McGill good question. It is subjective. I suppose people are inclined to think: metal because of ACDC etc I think Australian Hiphop is talked about as much as metal/indie bands.
