Tammy Wynette - Don't Come Home A Drinkin' (With Lovin' On Your Mind) Lyrics
Well you thought I'd be waitin' up when you come home last night
You'd been out with all the boys and you ended up half tight
But liquor and love that just don't mix leave a bottle or me behind
And don't come home a drinkin' with lovin' on your mind
No don't come home a drinkin' with lovin' on your mind
Cause if you want that kind of love well you don't need none of mine
So don't come home a drinkin' with lovin' on your mind
You never take me anywhere because you're always gone
And many a night I've laid awake and cried dear all alone
And you come in a kissin' on me it happens every time
No don't come home a drinkin' with lovin' on your mind
No don't come home a drinkin'...
No don't come home a drinkin' with lovin' on your mind

Tammy Wynette Don't Come Home A Drinkin' (With Lovin' On Your Mind) Comments
Just based on these vocals alone, Sissy Spacek sounded more like Tammy Wynette than Loretta Lynn. Great voices either way.
I wonder if she ever sang that to George Jones lol.
THAT'S the way it's done!
Loretta who? lol
Kennedy Loretta Lynn, the QUEEN of country.
Those boots were made for walkin'........BYE!
As Loretta and Tammy use to say the songs that Loretta sung, Tammy should have been singing them, and the Songs that Tammy sung Loretta should have sung. Because Tammy did all but Stand by her man and Loretta did all but leave hers she did stand by Doo but he knew what he was getting into and he loved her in his own way. It is so sad that Tammy is gone and Loretta is fading. I might be 25 but I love these women and what they stand for.
whatta song, woman,voice, words...
If you don't know what you're talking about then you're best to keep your fairy tales to yourself, this is Tammy singing, she covered a lot of lorettas song when she first came to Nashville. Loretta wrote the song herself in a hotel room after a concert and called doo in the middle of the night to sing it to him, waking him and the kids up, he wasn't amused and she said, I've wrote the perfect song for you doo, I know this cause I heroretta tell the story in an interview, its on here somewhere.
This is Loretta Lynn singing. Not Tammy, & actually Loretta wrote it while on tour with Pasty Cline because Dew was running around while she was on stage
Actually this is Tammy singing it and Loretta didn't write it until 1966--three years after Patsy had died!
Actually no. Peggy Sue (Loretta's sister) wrote this song for Loretta after Loretta wrote "I'm Dynamite!" for Peggy Sue. Loretta just made it famous and added a few lines to the song.
Tammy doing Peggy Sue Wright's song!!!! nice :D
