*The track made up my entire Summer last year. It's a shame Kevin didn't put this on the album, but judging from the lyrics, it's apparent why he didn't. It wouldn't have fit in at all, lyrically.*

This is better than slow rush

This song is a gem and sadly the best song not on the album.. was expecting the album to go into this direction with deep bass and chill drum beats.

After carefully listening to The Slow Rush many times, I inserted this song between Lost In Yesterday(Track 8) and Is It True(Track 9), and I'm blown away at how well this would've worked.😩

But I can live the dream with my custom playlist.

If you play it at 1.25 speed it sounds like a groovy 70s song

Heard this at one of my local Target stores. The audio was only good enough that I could hear 'Growing up in stages'. I had to find the song with those lyrics. My memory is really bad because of brain damage so I had to find it then and there. Took a screen shot of the lyrics I found and then found it here. Now I gotta see if I can buy this on Amazon music. This is a beautiful song.

yeah I usually absolutely hate the soundtrack at target, probably cuz I work there and have to hear it every damn day, but when I heard this song played over the speakers, you could say I saw a glimmer of hope

Probably for the best, i love this song but its goal was just to hold us over until Slow Rush, obviously this song didn't fit the feel he wanted for the album. Hence why its absent, doubt he did it without reason. Also it's a jab at the impatience for the release of this album. So my guess is he never planned for this song to go onto the album to begin with.

This song it's awesome, and the lyrics so explicit, that you can understand how pathetic and lame he feels for using drugs that are killing all his creativity. I think this is really depressive, but STILL A MAGNIFICENT SONG. I hope he gets better, his an incredible songwriter, musician and artist, just to write his days are "shapeless".

I am 21 years old and ever since I dropped out of college two years ago, I've felt depressed and wasn't motivated at all. My little sister (almost 15) introduced me to his songs (Tame Impala) because she said you should listen to his songs, he'll probably make you happy(he sure did). Once I started listening to his songs and the time goes by, I've been slowly but surely improving myself by working out and cutting off *cough* let's just say something rhyme with corn from my life. Really good vibes. This will be my year, definitely going to places and find out what I want to do in my life. I guess it's never too late to become a better person :D
