Tallest Man On Earth, The - Weather Of A Killing Kind Lyrics
Well I see the clouds, I see the shadow
It's rainin' wolves outside our door
We stand and watch through hesitation
'Cause they'll be spread out there forevermore
It's how the creature's heed their paws
And lay their hands on my decisions
And burn right through the books of somber loss
Now there is somethin' in the wild
Here is a weather of a killin' kind
Silently pass their sleeping jaws now
But I hold symbols in my hands
Don't need no score to play this piece, no
Now there is somethin' in the wild
Here is a weather of a killin' kind
I drink for something when I'm nothing
I drink for nothing when it's gone
And I feed the clouds, they are my shadow
'Cause I have raised the cubs my self alone
Now there is somethin' in the wild
Here is my weather of a killing kind

Tallest Man On Earth, The Weather Of A Killing Kind Comments
Anybody else think he sounds eerily like Bob Dylan
Im going to listen to this song till im old , for sure
It literally touches my soul and Imagination, words cant describe
Great video to watch with this song! =OD
I really do love the video. It is fairly simple and to the point but it just confirmes the atmosphere I feel when I hear the song. Just perfect.
his name is Kristian Matsson, not Matsoon
Why isn't this on iTunes?! :(
Now...How does anyone NOT like this?
which album is this from?
Well I see the clouds, I see the shadow
It’s rainin’ wolves outside our door
We stand and watch through hesitation
Cause they’ll be spread out there forevermore
You said the sun’s behind the fallen
It’s how the creatures heat their paws
And lay their hands on my decisions
And burn right through the books of sober loss
Now there is something in the wild
Here is a weather of a killing kind
Silently pass their sleeping jaws now
But I hold cymbals in my hands
Don’t need no score to play this piece, no
Don’t need no violins to lose a man
Now there is something in the wild
Here is a weather of a killing kind
I drink for something when I’m nothing
I drink for nothing when it’s gone
And I feed the clouds, they are my shadow
Cause I have raised the cubs myself alone
Now there is something in the wild
Here is my weather of a killing kind
The iraqi invasaion... every war, every battle, before and after. Thats what I thought about instantly.
Thanks for the lyrics, but...violins or violence? :)
@Frank Berjim I thought it was 'violence' at first too, but everywhere I looked said violins, which actually makes a lot of sense when you look at the previous line, it's continuing the musical theme.
One thing to know about the Tallest Man On Earth:every songs are good
+A Disappointed Horse If you see him live, will you change your name to "A Delighted Horse" ?
@Erratum If I'm ever that lucky, I certainly will.
+Petter Ingebretsen I saw him in July, and the words to describe it do not exist.
+Erratum saw him live in August. Feel extremely blessed.
saw him 3 days ago, played at a church venue. absolute bliss!
I love this song
The 9 people suck
This is the saddest song I know
Solomon Gumball - Hope there's someone by Antony and the Johnsons is the saddest I know.
Came here via "These Days." First time I've heard this guy. Didn't care for the Jackson Browne cover, but this original is fantastic. Think I'll listen to it again, right now.
..you said the sun.. =)
..you said the sun..
This was my first time listening to this song. Wish it could be like that forever.
lampard4 seriously.
I want to ride my bike now
This video combined with this song is genious. Never apologize for this.
@Brent Palucki but it dosnt start with "ta" it starts with "the" I think the "the" part is included
I could watch this over and over again....perfect video for this perfect song.
When typing in a search field, "ta" should bring up this guy before Taylor Swift or the Talking Heads. Just sayin',,,
except the Talking Heads are awesome too
Your statement makes no since man it if did it would be a horrible search engine because those artists have considerably more views. Now if you put "The Ta" it should be near the top of the list. Since his work is oft titled under his band name instead of his real name.
Your comment has no punctuation, and I don't apologize for failing to make 'since'. My comment was not an assertion of fact, it was an opinion, and an opinion will never make sense. That is it's nature. For your sake, let's leave it at that.
My comment has numerous points of punctuation... Not only is your original comment ignorant so are you.
pielovinkyle His point is that The Tallest Man on Earth should be much more famous than them
never been so layed back after listerning to this
Love this guys music, just came across him, and it's a real treat
i love your video!
Great video! Fits the song well :)
Heard this on the Adult Swim Singles Program 2011, loved it ever since. Thanks for the post. The video matches the song as well. Sweet job man, cheers.
in what record can i find this song?
Well, you’re right. It would have been very stupid, because i would have missed so many other great songs. But – and thats funny – i just stumbled upon your comment while listening to this beautiful song again, so there was at least a little truth in my statement.
you re amazing
You said this a year ago? did you really only listen to this song?
If so, that's stupid.
I agree.
I remember hearing this song on CJSW 90.9 Calgary (best radio station ever) during a very significant period of time in my life and when I heard it come on, I had to sit in my car until it was finished playing then called the DJ to thank him for playing it. This song will always have a special importance to me.
I like this video as well, it just seems to fit the song....not at contrived like a lot of videos....not trying to be pretentious....yes good!....and Kristian's song....I love it!
great job!!! :)
You give birth to a song and at some point must release them into the world so they can grow up into a life of their own. Some become rich rich and famous while other fade into obscurity. But some songs have children of their own and glow with a reflection of beauty from their parent. This is one of those. Breathtakingly ingenious, both the song and the creative progeny of your married mediums. (And love means never having to make apologies in advance, my friend!)
This video is really good. It gives me feels. So yeah. Success! ;-)
Check it out at 1:40 love this part
I love the part where the guitar slides down a fret and it goes down.. Anyone else think that short 2 second part makes the song?
It is more like a standalone single I believe, released between there's no leaving now and the wild hunt
this is beautiful
Where are biking? It is beautiful country side? Nice video btw!
This song and his video remind me of the summer when I road my bike around town with friends. I feel like alot of tallest man on earth songs embody this feeling.
where is this video filmed?
Where is this song from? Is it a B-side/are there other songs that aren't on his albums/EPs?
My Life - The movie
Official Soundtrack
One day, I'm gonna marry this song.
Sounds a lot like Jimmy Page's Bron Yr Aur instrumental. That is a good thing.
This Video makes me proud/happy to live in England. Hello form West Gloucestershire. If you open your window, you may be able to hear me blasting this song!
Simply amazing.
WTF album is this from!!
Ahhhh, the Westcountry... My home :) Lovely lovely music too.
appologize????
It was a bonus track on The Wild Hunt in Sweden only, I believe.
I love this song, just as ALL of his other songs! How come he won't put this on his new album? Is it a cover? Lovely video aswell!
I love this song! also, great work with the video! It really sets the mood right and it is simply amazing. Keep up the good work!
niceo video. the same feeling as the in the pockets video but who doesn't love the countryside in the summer?
Oh. my. I just fell in love with this song.
No video can ever quite do The Tallest Man on Earth justice, but the beautiful landscapes certainly don't detract...
Nice video Sir
I think Kristian Matsson has to be my favorite musician because although i go through music phases I always come back to his, and it feels like coming home.
i assume youre apologizing for making everyone who watches this video instantly hate their surroundings. cuz apparently you live in neighborhood of nothing but bob ross beautiful landscape paintings.
:-) twas most enjoyable!
it's fantastic
where was this shot?
Dont apologise, you did a nice job
I wish I could watch ONE Tallest Man on Earth video without having to see a single comment about Bob Dylan. I love Dylan, but Kristian and Bob are TWO DIFFERENT ARTISTS!!
I'm thinking unless this dude changes everything about himself, you probably won't get what you are looking for , as youtube comments go ....the guy is completely brilliant, but I can't listen to one song without getting that feeling that until now, I only got when listening to Dylan ....
@Ouroborus23 you sould probably listen to all this guys songs since he is what dylan wanted to be=P
the video is amazing and the song is amazing so this equals....magical
this was pretty fucking good
both the tune an vid
I CANT STOP LISTENING TO THIS SONG!!!!!!!!
I've loved this man for ages.. how did I not listen to this song before?! I am ashamed of myself. Perfection.
i will never listen to any other song.
i agree with the one below.
