Tall Heights - Man Of Stone Lyrics

Wearing the name on my body
Painting the faith on my soul
Baring my teeth just to hold on
Practice the art of control

Emblems of cavemen they taught me
The importance of typing in bold
The weight of a simple depiction
As the days unfold

As the hour grows
As the hour grows
I know that I can keep the voice of doubt from speaking on its own
'Cause I've always been a silent figure
And I've never been a man of stone

I sure don't have eyes like an eagle's
I couldn't be waiting for war
Why should I think that I'd have survived
In the days of yore

But the gifts of the Greeks oh they taught me
Radio favors the bold
The key to survival is pleasing your rivals
Till the days unfold

As the hour grows
As the hour grows
I know that I can keep the voice of doubt from speaking on its own
'Cause I've always been a silent figure
And I've never been a man of stone

Yeah the fevers of Wallace they taught me
That wisdom began with a cold
So let me grow feeble and fragile
As the days unfold

Hi! I saw Tall Heights in concert about a month ago and they told us that one of their songs is inspired by a book about a couple moving to an island in Maine. Does anyone know which song that is? I can't seem to find it.

All my cells burst into ecstasy, partly at the pause at 2:50 and mostly at the music that follows it.

Could you guys pleeeease hand out the chords for this? i love it so much, cant stop singing it and would love to play it!

    A.... .....

Can't you figure them out? Not being a smart aleck. If you play guitar, pick out the tune on the guitar. Usually the first note will give you the first chord (the tonic). Then you will probably find out that the other chords are the 4th and fifth chord of the scale of that first note. The song sounds minor so you'll probably stick the 6th note of the scale in the song. You have to fiddle around with it a little until it sounds right. Once you learn how to do this, you'll never have to ask anyone for the chords to anything again unless it is sophisticated. Someone else could probably explain this better, but search your question on YouTube. There are thousands of talented people teaching stuff online. Good luck.

He is probably a casual guitar player who searches up chords on the internet. Not everyone has knowledge in music theory buddy. Only people with perfect pitch can figure out chords by ear.
