Saw this band when they were the warm up for Duran Duran in Hammersmith back in the 80's, thought these boys were far better than the headline act. This is a fabulous album.

So lucky! I love both bands although I admire TT for hopping off the bandwagon and forging their own beautiful path. Don't get me wrong I love synthpop but what TT went onto was something far more powerful.
I fantasise about that very experience. I saw Duran Duran in 82 but, alas Talk Talk weren't their support in Australia. You sir, are very lucky indeed.

I AGREE! Hate is my favourite EVER Talk Talk track. They never quite topped The Party's Over album. Their New Romantic period here was just SUBLIME! Marks desperation and angst in his voice is so POWWERRFUL on the 1st album and on Hate more so than EVER!
