Phill Brown, the audio engineer for this album and Laughing Stock has worked extensively with Traffic.
Another fun fact: Steve Winwood from Traffic was the organ player on The Colour of Spring

I Miss You Talk Talk 

This song reminds me the kind of music we could hear in the 60's-70's when Mark Hollis was a child as I was myself. We were too young to be a part of it, but still, we grew up in this and have been marked by it forever. Especially, if Mark's brother was older than him and influenced him, it must be have been even more anchored in his mind. As it is in mine.
This whole album looks almost like a tribute to his brother and this period.
For me, Talk Talk was the 80's, but by listening to this, it is like a trip to the past. I suddenly realize that our background is totally similar, Pink Floyd included. What is amazing is that Mark Hollis does even better that the original spirit + his voice, it is kind of very overwhelming.
How not to love this song?

I agree and he must have been influenced by Brian Eno's Another Green World (1975). In this masterpiece, Eno emphasizes as much importance on notes and silences between them and he knew how to create textures. Meanwhile, Mark Hollis was surely taking notes...

Also have Spirit Of Eden and Laughing Stock as top two. But also like the solo album from Mark Hollis.. I didn`t get to see them live... :-/ Wish they would come back..
