idk about everybody else but tbs has become so lame...I remember when I was 2 yrs old I would be rocking out to their emo stuff and now listening to this makes me sad because my whole life I've listened to their first few albums that were super good and this is just super lame. ik some people still consider them as emo but not the old kind of emo....if that makes sense

I'm all for bands maturing and growing but this stuff, basically since Nolan got back is just weak.

I listened to WYWTB tonight and that album is a blinder. The melodies, lyrics, song structure and all round creativity shined through. The sound was unique and was TBS. This album for me is a shocker. Songs like Tidal Wave, mate. Ramones knocked those chord sequences out 40 years ago.

Wow, why does this video have 1/6 dislike. This song is amazing. Most bands suck after producing a lot of albums. But Taking Back Sunday always has kept their stuff fresh and amazing.

Great song. Great album. I do love louder now/Wywb/tayf and think it's some of their best, but tbh the first three albums are romanticized waayy too much. They'll always be there, but those three stylistically are different from one another....which is what this band does. Each album has its own uniqueness to it. Some more than others, but this one? This is something else, and if you don't know it now, you'll know it when you see them play the whole album live on their tour. They're clearly proud of this and are not afraid to showcase the whole damn thing live night in night out.

Musically I really like it but holy shit these lyrics are awful.

We're a long way from "it's a campaign of distraction and revisionist history", I legitimately liked the music of the first 5-6 tracks of the album. It doesn't really hold up past that but I think it's better than the last two albums.

@Sam Feinberg See, I actually liked a lot of Happiness Is, even though learning that "They Don't Have Any Friends" is complaining about people who get mad about things on the internet kind of ruined the song for me. But this is just... unremarkable would be a word, I guess.

+VashD15 I heard the explanation of that song on 'rock sound' it's deeper than that it's kind of specified more to the fact of how many people are quick to take a shit on something or someone's work, without at least acknowledging that it's a lot of work and time spent with it. Adam references the show arrested development and how it got canceled and when it got brought back to tv, some people would complain and bitch that it wasn't the same as it used to be. It was a while ago but I remember listening to the podcast. He's right. People on here shitting on the band are either looking for click-bait, or just contrarians who feel the need to tear down others' opinions.
