T. Rex Love Drunk Comments
  1. T.... J....

I really preferred Marc in the early times of T. Rex when it still was Tyrannosaurus Rex and acoustic with lots of mystic and magic, so genuine and sweet 😍 before that "they" made him become a dandy of glam rock!
Still love you Marc, since 47 years ♥️

My sick punk band covered this!!

The world will never know what might have been, I'm thankful that I grew up in Marcs time and had his music in my life, my 25 year old son is now playing Marc Bolan songs on his guitar and is being influenced in his own material by Marc. Almost 42 years after we tragically lost him Mr Bolan is still influential, great talent sadly missed. I think Marc would have worked with Bowie and I'm certain that he would have got back to the top and would have made it in America by '79 or '80. I wish that the music industry would give him the respect deserved. God bless you Marc ands thanks for leaving an indelible "Marc" in the lives of us Bolanites.

Man this guy was gifted. Every song he put out had a certain charm and magic.

  9. C.... H....

Hey does anybody know where this tune is lifted from? I was shopping the other day at Grocery Outlet and I heard this exact melody in an old R&B song over the store speakers, but I think the words were completely different. The clerk was unable to help me lol.

    C.... H....

I think it sounds similar to What Becomes of the Broken Hearted if that's any help.

    C.... H....

Thanks, that's it! I guess it's not exactly the same, and not necessarily "lifted," but interestingly similar...

    C.... H....

    Glad to help!

So many song's from the 50's and early 60's have the same chord progression. Marc loved the chord sequence. He used it on Dandy in the Underworld, Monolith and etc.

Ithought this album was far superior to anything released since Tanx ..thanks mainly to the absence of Gloria,s caterwauling . 20TH Century baby was as melodic as anything Marc wrote . What a pity his unreleased work and the early b sides were not given the album room that some of the later dross received . jitterbug love versus precious star ..I rest my case .

    so good !

Yes i know, i think the fanclub had marketed it as the follow up to Dandy but it was never released. I'm talking about that fanclub album. Yes you may be right about the music, for me it wasn't that good anyway. Dandy was produced but this was more like an album of demos if i remember correctly.

    Hi
Marc Never released Billy Super Duper - i dont know what songs would be used on it and i dont think anybody really knows - the album that was put out 5 years after marcs death - it was put out by the fan club - i think music was added to most tracks - i like the album - but i like everything marc had his hands in -
    thanks for stopping by

Was BSD supposed to be the follow up to Dandy? If it had been released it would have sunk Marc for good. I had it on vinyl and it was the worst thing i've ever heard from him, although i seem to remember it not being finished properly? Dandy didn't do too well chart wise even with the TV exposure from the Marc shows but it was way better than BSD, I loved Dandy though. I don't mind you deleting this after you've read it though.
