I thought this song was so sad but couldn't personally relate to it until recently. Me and the best friend I ever had fell out and I truly thought we'd patch things up. It was a few weeks before my birthday and I thought for sure I'd hear from her and that would be when we'd fix everything. The whole day, all the messages and happy birthdays I got that day only made me sadder and sadder because I heard from everyone but the one person I prayed I would. After that I knew things were over. This song is too relatable now.
