Sweet - Strong Love Lyrics

You are the love of my life
That's what you are to me
You are the love of my life
That's what you mean to me
With my heart going boom, boom
Your love is driving me to ruin

Strong love is just too much for my heart
Strong love is just too much for my heart

Oh won't you kiss me again
You sure know what you're doing
Oh won't you kiss me again
Don't you stop what you're doing
There's something I just gotta say
I can't keep it up every day
With my heart going boom, boom
Your love is driving me to ruin

Strong love is just too much for my heart
Strong love is just too much for my heart

With my heart going boom, boom
Your love is driving me to ruin

Strong love is just too much for my heart
Strong love is just too much for my heart

    Oh no the disco influence

Man this was a pure crap album. Cut above the rest oh god I actually threw out the album when I was seventeen. Seriously discophony, fuck man it was that bad. This album was like bad classical music mixed with a pathetic attempt at disco. Brian was so fucked up at this point with the booze, and the fighting with Andy. They recorded this album at Clearwell Castle, but it was said they had a ton of personal issues, and the group could not adjust to the disco era. Andy in the end, turned the band into Andy Scotts ELO version of sweet. Fuck he even looked like Jeff Lynne in the end. I a a hugggggggggggge sweet fan, but this stuff was shit. There was a few very brief glimmers of hope, but it collected dust in my collection.

This is when the sweet really started to fall apart. Honestly every album after this one including this one, was absolute trash. Really this song is a horrible attempt at disco, and the rest of the album not a song worth mentioning. You cannot compare this album to give us a wink. Yuch..............

  9. A.... B....

It doesn't feel like 3 minutes lol

  10. C.... B....

To me, this is the best song on the album. California Nights - now that's a bit naff.

So everybody else here is just sooo STUPID they can't accept that change is a key part of every band;s evolution and what's worse they can't accept that the awful ending isn't on the way better album version. I guess these bastards would rather listen to Motley Crue or some other band who sound like early Sweet (which is damned good music) gone wrong. Sweet were never afraid of change. They embraced it. Remember they were forced into bubblegum, became a hard glam pop sound, and then deviated into progressive pop. You're not honoring Brian and Mick's memories with your hate comments.

Да вы ебанитесь все кто тут написали что это awful и прочее. Sweet с 74 по 80 порожняка откровенного не делали

SWEET FUNK - Funk It Up was just an experiment and Bowie was part of their idea of that song, terrible. Storng Love, not bad but it need more musical colours and maybe slower tempo, then maybe it could have relased as single. Brian´s voice is GOLD

  14. D.... K....

Ok I almost threw up while laughing at the end but still sucks

  15. D.... K....

Awful sweet song hopefully they were joking

  16. B.... ....

Good editing job. You made it sound a lot better.

  17. D.... ....

I added it. It was released by itself.

I was pissed when I bought Level Headed recently, and they didn't have the "You're gonna sit on my face, please don't cum in my mouth" part. They stopped the song at it's natural end. So was this on the original printing of the album, or is it a special version of this song from a different album that comes with "cum in my mouth" part?

    B.... ....

The last part was NOT on the original Level Headed album. Must be from a bootleg or so. In 1979 you could not release a song with such a lyrics and hope for airplay ... unless it was a rude punk band looking for attention. Besides: they made a lot of these lyrical changes during live shows as I lately found out when listening to live bootlegs. Most of the time Steve when he takes over Lead-Vocals during the bridge of a song.

  23. s.... ....

    Excellent video slide show!!

  24. D.... ....

Its on the Level Headed album which can be bought on Amazon. I just saw a great deal where you can get this album and Sweet Fanny Adams in the same package.

  25. J.... ....

Yes, that is Richie playing with Sweet at the Santa Monica Civic Center in March 1976.

  26. D.... ....

Funk It Up was on Off The Record.

  27. e.... ....

This and "Funk It Up" are my two least favorite Sweet songs. They should have stuck to pure Rock, like they had in "Off The Record".

Thank you for this upload. Do you know about the 3rd guitarist on the pic at 00:58 ? In the left is andy, on the right stands Steve.
