Sweet - Solid Gold Brass Lyrics
Heart of a woman
But she's a child
Something inside
That's gonna drive you wild
You, you go take a walk
'Cause I'm a man not a mother
Solid gold brass got a mean streak
And it's running through my veins
Solid gold brass gotta green streak
And it's going to my brain
But she helps me hang on in there
Solid gold brass
Stars in her eyes
Smooth words and T birds
Her only claim to fame
Hey, just watch what you say
Don't talk about her that way
You know I said I'm a man not a mother
Solid gold brass got a mean streak
And it's running through my veins
Solid gold brass gotta green streak
And it's going to my brain
And she helps me hang on in there
Solid gold brass got a mean streak
And it's running through my veins
Solid gold brass gotta green streak
And it's going to my brain
And she helps me hang on in there
Solid gold brass
Heart of a woman
But she's a child
Something inside
That's gonna drive you wild
Solid gold brass got a mean streak
And it's running through my veins
Solid gold brass gotta green streak
And it's going to my brain
Solid gold brass got a mean streak
And it's running through my veins
Solid gold brass gotta green streak
And it's going to my brain
And she helps me hang on in there
Solid gold brass

I love Sweet!Fantastic!
Excelente
В то время у Энди Скотта на гитаре смайлик был.
this song had a brilliant swagger and strut it.....
Name just 1 Rock Band Better than Sweet...
Can't do it!!
Maybe as good but not Better!
Sweet music🎵
that riff is killer.....such a swagger, ridiculous these guys weren't allowed to ply on their early stuff as they were better than the session players
Первое Гавно в Музыке и педерастии. Фтопку!!!
Fucking bad ass!!!
420 I mean
Around 610 you will see my mom,she is wearing bright orange. Don't you look at her with horny balls... She groves to the beat. She is in a walker now, wears a diaper, but still loves to shag... Y baby.. do I make you horny baby!??? She ALWAYS says that to me,her brain is fried I guess. Have a nice day..
Director is a dick
Great band
I think this group was the inspiration for spinal tap
What a childhood i was lucky to have. A youngster when glam rock was at its peak in the UK, fantastic times and memories. Endless good music, power cuts ( reading first issue UK marvel comics by candlelight) , Dad out at night syphoning petrol because of the fuel shortage then the next night his petrol getting nicked LOL, flares, long hair, swearing, fighting, being scruffy in Brixton. Couldn't have had it any better or more fun and Sweet always takes me back to those times along with Wizzard, Bowie, Mud. Never to be seen again
Great underrated an mostly forgotten band of early 70s great stuff !
Hey! Was I livin' under a bunch of rocks during the late 70's? Why did me and my friends did not listen to Sweet's music? They where great musicians and singers. How stupid where we?
Parents had this and BTO on 8-tracks in their Mazda RX2 (shoulda just changed the damn apex seals!). These days I just stay home when "Guns N Roses" tours
Andy Scott is a beast
Enjoy my youtube content jacob..
Best Sweet ever ! Voices delux
I wonder how many in that audience appreciated the fact that they are seeing The Sweet?
Enjoy my youtube content judygurl
Andy's rockin
They never got the credit they deserve they were a great band, but nobody looked at them that way they just looked at them like hair and Glitz but they were great.
Classy classic rock!
One of the most criminally underrated hard rock bands of the 70s. This is a great example of their ability to play sophisticated progressive heavy rock.
Gostaria de morar nesses vídeos do Sweet
Saudações do Brasil
Unfortunately, Andy doesn't quite mine the sole right at the end . Or have any gear to switch to a completely different guitar sound like he does at 0:26
Enjoy my youtube content martin..
Great band! They never quite managed to live down their early glam-rock image, at least in the UK, but they really were up there with the best.
Nigel Tufnel is still the best
Riff-tastic!!!
This band, so amazing, so underrated!!!! Outstanding!!!
Andy Scott one of the most underrated guitar heros of the past his heavy in your face full on over the top distortion guitar scream was quickly switched to fender tweed tremelo clean sound then jazz octave riffs. Players nowadays give you one flavor not andy however.
Love the base at 2:21. That is just bad
The whole band were gods
Most underrated song from most underrated band
Best band ever
Steve rapping
I was only 14 when I heard this great song.
they look very Spinal Tappy
Brilliant
Brilliant
There’s no doubt that sweet were great musicians but what the hell did they pick this TURKEY of a song for it’s rubbish Little Willy and Alexander Graham Bell were bad enough 👋🏻
Not compared to most of today's rubbish
И это 74 год.Фантастика!!!
Tja, sie können mehr als Fox on the run
Il n'y a donc pas de fans français ?A part moi bien sûr !!!😁
2:36 a smiley on the guitar. Were the invented 50 years ago? 🥺
1968 at a guess. You see smilies in vintage footage, pics
Wunderbar Stevie einfach nur geil und Brian mit Stevie unvergessen 😍😘😍😘
A scene and setting that will never be seen again. Looks like they actually enjoyed this one. A wonderful part of the past. Thanks for the post. AWESOME!
Sweet wernt just about bubble gum pop. They were a good rock band who could also play live.
The best of SWEET...The best of hard rock...
The guitar player had some shredding skills, he held it back to make their songs more about singing.
That was a sweet ending.
Holy smokes ! That was freaking awesome.
Plaid jumper lady at 3:19 is getting down!
Omg!! Check out the album whatcha doin, by The Go. They're jack whites band before white stripes. Totally influenced by this! Wow!
Sweet Geordie..Slade.. the best Glam ROCK for me..Geordies Dont be fooled by the name..Slades whatever happened to..and Sweets Strung up ...broke my balls..effen heavy metal genesis for a lot of us.. me thinks
I remember I liked Geordie. Can't remember What they sounded like. I'll have to You Tube them
Andy scott is a fucking beast (sorry for my language) on guitar
Just getting into Sweet in 2019.. I know I’m about 40 years behind but damn they were underrated.. especially here in the US.
Great band great times
Solid solo by Andy!
Einfach geil Brian Andy Steve und Mick😀😀😀🤗🤗🤗🤗😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😎😎😎😎
Back when you had to have chops to play rock and roll
This and TOTP always had the lame dancers - hurt the shows.
Brilliant!
Guitarist totally UNDERRATED!😲
This has got a solid jazz vibe. Dig it.
I've got a real thing about Steve's nose...
Never seen this before. Only really knew the glam classics. Good to hear this and discover that they could play.
I'll put "Desolation Boulevard" on par with Boston's first and Van Halen's first. Sweet has got to be the best band that very few people today even know of.
Luv Andy's voice on this one
Love this song
Sweet were so tight musically. great musicians all of them. great performers. they were good in any respect. i was strongly inspired by this band as a kid and I still am.
А кому вы сейчас потрафили - Сладким или англоязычным ?
The lonely Rocker loves Sweet!
Just love Steve and that mischievous grin❤️❤️❤️
Brian the TV presenter 👨🎤
First time to see Brian playing keyboard.
Love the 70s style mosh pit
Dave Cash
I think the guitar parts on here right in the middle that fancy guitar you can hear the influence how that influence Blind Melon on no rain
Really cute ending :))
Wow the first few notes sounded like ZZTop :-) I did not know that part of Sweet (I knew as a child only Fox), but these hard rock and even harder rock songs are very pleasant surprise. (not to mention protopunk). Really talented musicians...
Gosh but it sucks I was so young when this stuff came out I was way too young to go to any concerts because when these guys were in their Heyday was late they started basically the first couple hits and 68 and 69 and most of their big hits from the early seventies when I was like 7 years old 9 years old no too young for anybody take me to a concert oh my gosh, I'm really enjoying this now it's too bad this group is not the what they were and two members passed oh my gosh what a great group I've just come to appreciate that I've always loved the sweet amazing simply amazing band one of the best influencing tons of bands you can hear the influence, you can hear the biggest influence definitely Queen lot of Queen in the influence of Queen quite a bit much as I love Queen I don't know man I think both bands are pretty cheap trick influence and on many different bands today
As you can see from the guitar, "emoticons" existed in 1974 too, hehehehehe !
The way kids danced back then... the quaalude shuffle, haha!
This is damn heavy. The crowd at the beginning is perfectly in sync. Love it!
This was one of my favorite songs on the album. I'm thrilled to be able to see it performed. I was 14 when it came out.
This is 20 years ahead of their time ... really visionary music
These guys really were super talented. This live gig just goes to prove it!
Ha ha ....live, don’t think so mate, it’s mimed! Guess you probably know that right!
Real good musicians.
Da sempre sono un Sweet fan e più li ascolto e più mi piacciono. Sono convinto che avrebbero meritato maggiore successo per la loro musica che toccava molti stili ed era futurista.
Steve and Andy just one word, beautiful! 💕❤️💕
2:20 such a cool twist and I look like Steve and this looks like my mom 3:14 ✌️👀
Brilliant times, the lad who gets picked out for the dance competition is an absolute dead ringer for me at that age , the very popular black & white jumper , the hair and everything, its like watching mi self in a parallel universe. Actually I won a record token as well at a school disco but that was a knobbly knees competition !!!
They were my 1st concert, the music of my youth. Never boring, no filler crap on their records. Sure miss that time..
Heart of a woman but she's a child, something inside is gonna drive you wild......
Way way ahead of their time
This is a much underrated band from the70`s. I love Glam Rock, but this is metal. Brutal drumming, guitar palaying, and a bassplayer playing bass as a guitarplayer.
