Susan Tedeschi - Don't Think Twice, It's All Right Lyrics
Ain't no use to sit an wonder why, babe
If you don't know by now
Oh now ain't no use to sit and wonder why
It won't ever do somehow
Look out your window and know I'll be gone
Oh you're the reason I'm travelin on
Don't think twice, it's alright
There ain't no use in turnin on your light, babe
The light I've never known
Oh now it ain't no use in turnin on your light, babe
I'm on the dark side of the road
Oh now I'm thinkin and I'm wonderin, walkin down the road
Oh I gave him my heart, but he wanted my soul
Don't think twice, it's alright
There ain't no use in callin out my name, boy
Like you never done before
Oh now ain't no use in callin out my name now
Cause I can't hear anymore
Oh I wish there was something you might do or say
Oh to try to make me change my mind and stay
Oh but we never did too much talkin anyways
Don't think twice, it's alright
So long, honey baby
Where I'm bound, I can't tell
Oh but good-bye is too good a word now
So I'll just say fare-thee-well
Oh now I ain't sayin that you treated me unkind
Oh you coulda done better, but oh I don't mind
Oh you just kinda wasted all of my precious time
Don't think twice, it's alright
Oh you just kinda wasted all of my precious time
Don't think twice, it's alright

Susan Tedeschi Don't Think Twice, It's All Right Comments
The name of this song is, Oooohh, Don't Think Twice it's Alright.
3 piece American tourister and gear ready to join up
Keyboards playing Bob Marley all the time. :D
Whenever I think Susan can't surprise me then she does. This is, hands down, one of the best singings I ever heard. Love Susan!
That voice!
My all time favorite band has been ABB but TTB now running a close second! Damn they are 👍 great
Wow, this song gave me goosebumps. Such emotion!
Brilliant and multi racial...the 1960s are not dead ...keep the faith children...we shall overcome the current political horror in our beloved America......I love Susan, Derek and Mike ....
That solo by Jason Crosby... Tells a hell of a story, makes me wish I had played that.
WOW!! INCREDIBLE TALENT SUSAN'S VOCALS TOUCH ME IN PLACES I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW I HAD. Thank you God for Susan Tedeschi.
Best cover of this classic
A quick note for the fools that think this is any thing but a truly beautiful song performed perfectly by an incredible soulful talent >> PLEASE upload your version of this song to prove you know what you're talking about and you've got the right to say it or sit down shut your mouth and learn to think some how before you speak ever again.
INCREDIBLE version of this awesome song.
Susan you rock it so beautifully
Awesome
Great voice, great song , but the drums kinda ruined it for me..sorry
This Dylan song talks about my twenty year marriage that ended twenty years ago. Still lamenting I guess. Lovely cover. Love Susan! Thanks for sharing this gem!
Great stuff, passion in that voice! Did Bonnie Rait teache her how to sing?
sounds like Bonnie Raitt , no bad thing !

Fuck beyonce and Jay Z this I'd the most actually talented ARTISTS. OF THIS GENERATION
To me this is better than the original
Some people have a quality to their voice that is special & unique .
Well done!!
..And the pain...
oooohhh Lord...!! ...The beauty....!!!
No Mariah Carrie or Christina Aguilera baloney here. This is a true singer, songwriter, guitar playing dynamo.
Thanks for posting! After Jerry Garcia died it felt like the hippie era was over. But thanks to Susan and people like her that music, those ideals, and that feeling. Shall persevere. May we move with grace triumphantly through the 21st century. God bless.
From Vienna, Peace.
I absolutely LOVE Tedeschi trucks band...Derek was born with a guitar in his crib and Susan's voice is SOOO SOULFUL AND BADASS..no wonder they're married...I 💜TTB!!!!
quite the plod
After a long time , a band is born
Wish I could Like this twice..
Wow. Made my sox roll up and down!
I have to agree with the other comments that this Dylan cover is the best version yet. I'd be surprised if a future artist tops this version. Dylan does it again....and Susan? It's been 12 years since I discovered an artist who passed my "consistently great shit" threshold such as Susan. I gave up hope last year that any millennials were yet to be discovered. Thanks Susan for filling up my music-satisfaction tank! See ya in the next California tour, and I remember watching Derick Trucks play at the Harvest Festival in Morro Bay. Saw him again several times with Lesh--at least 7 shows. Now, Trucks is w/ Susan? This is a great timeline. What will be next!
No use now so long youv should have stayed..
Susan Tedeschi
Tedeschi Trucks the best thing that happened to music since the 60s!!!!
What an amazing inspired vocal performance.....so powerful it brings tears to my eyes.
A voice like Tupelo Honey!
i just LOVE her voice and this band. I cant get enough of them!! I love to sing along with her :)
Susan Tedeschi along with Grace Potter have my heart sewn up without a doubt.
I absolutely love her singing, Derek Trucks and the whole entire band.. I've been listening to their music non stop... WOW they are awesome!!
Susan is seriously amazing.
Best blues voice since Janis Joplin and Dusty Springfield
I listen to this often…just beautiful

Susan... I'm old and my days are numbered... Please sing for me and the rest of the world
"The Show Must Go On" by Queen
I'm old too but life has just begun listening to her and Dereck!!
Love this girl's voice and her phrasing!
The most under rated female artist of them all... This woman can sing the positive hell out of any song... I just wish she'd sing more cover songs...I've heard she's as humble as she is talented...
they could cover inner city blues marvin gaye thats right youngsters some things never change check it out
she brings this song to life for me...great artist. really appreciate her and Derek. Saw at Greek last year w Sharon Jones (RIP), great stuff!!
Nelson Kerr yes
Susan... Susan... Susan... sing more covers... please sing Stand By Me...
I love her!
The 53 people who gave this a thumbs down clearly have LESS THAN ZERO musical taste. Beautiful cover of one of Bob's best.
I have been collecting Blues, Blues Rock music for 60 years ( Yes I am that Old!) and now I have reached the end of my journey with the best ever. Derek you are a superb musician, Susan ( and Mike Mattison) truly gifted voices. Backed by a truly glorious tight backing group, it must be the Peak of the genre. Robert Johnson, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton and so many more fill my shelves, now they must all move over. Thank you! You are the very best.
Phil Rant give Warren Haynes a listen, you'll love him and his group Govt Mule.
give beth hart a try
Slide Clapton right off of the shelf
Replace with Robert Cray and SRV
Give the Teskey Brothers a shot! But I agree that TTB is the finest act on earth right now! PS I am sixty and I cheer you for keep listening to new stuff. It is exactly what I do. Best regards from Brazil.
One of the best versions I have heard
Who doesn't love Susan.
Bernard Litwin only a fool
Bernard Litwin
Those who haven't heard her sing.
Got to see them in Tahoe sept 2016....awesome show❣
pennyhill66 ME too!! They are The GREATEST!!! LOVE IT!!! :)
Love this song/ballad and thanks for doing the cover. It's about time a woman sang this. Women always sing this....
The B-3 really makes this one. Such a full, fat sound.
That's the way to do it! Fabulous.

Just maybe the best version of this so perfect song...
Don't get any better than this!!
How can anyone dislike this? This is pure joy
She's a great person, really
-Bet she is .... makes an old Sicilian guy from Cleveland very happy. You did good, Phil.
Susan and Derek... that's a musical powerhouse couple! Sooo much talent!
Charles Maneage ... e rende felice anche un vecchio siciliano di Palermo.
What is more fabulous than Papa Tedeschi watching his daughters YouTube Videos! By the way I am sure she is!!
just found out about her and Derek, via JJ Cale. At first I thought "Tedeschi" was Japanese trucks, like Toyota. But Tedeschi Trucks can take you places that Toyota trucks cannot. Lots of creative energy there.
A this is an amazing version
I really like the studio version with Derek
Real talent....
Susan is on her way to being a National Treasure! The body of her solo work, her collaborative work, and now with TTB? OMG... she gives her whole heart and soul, and is so talented. We, the music loving public out here, are blessed. Truly blessed by her gifts to us. <3
This song is performed extremely well, here, by Susan Tedeschi.
I don't think it's possible for me to adore Susan anymore than I do...she's it, she's all, she's everything my soul needs in music...

These guys are the first band to get me excited in at least 30 years. Grew up on Dylan, The Beatles, and all the great music of the 60's and early 70's but had begun to lose hope for new blood. People like Susan, Derek, Mayer, Bramhall II, and a very few others reassure me that the great music of my youth will never die. Thank you TTB!
+buckfan1969 I heard about her only to night (by Nola Picayune) I'll follow her from now on! I'm very sorry but I live in Italy (don't spend your dreams and your money to come here...just FORGET IT)...!!!!
Amen to that!! :)
There is SO MUCH good music out there man... don't be like that.
Just take the time and look!
buckfan1969 they are the best to their fans as well. Solid gold individuals every member of this group.
please check out Gary Clark Jr.
Doesn't get much better than that folks !
Never get tired of this song, must be Susan's soul. She is a wonderful singer.
At last a great song in the female gender. Thankyou writer mr bob dylan
Pure class !
You thought i was done, I am home but my sharing continues,,,,
oops, dad just got on my ass, he said derek could already play foosball, he just gave him some finer points of the game he said the kid was only 11 or 12 yrs old
btw my dad taught derek how to play foosbal at st. simons island, ga. in the early to mid 80s
susan left peter paul and mary in the dust
love it, especially what a keyboard player did! Give my cover of this song a try, if you can spend some of your precious time;) thanks and take care
just breath taking.... Susan, check out some of Dinah Washington old songs, your voice is perfect ... September in the rain, This Bitter Earth, What a Difference a Day Made and on and on she was so wonderful with a voice like your so unique
Tjabba.
Great version.
Anyone know where I can get a copy of the picture of Bob at 1:27? I love it!!!
Love when she sings mellow tunes :)
Wow. Their band should do a whole album of Dylan covers.
get's me back way way, long ago. I was a kid of..10...11 ?
I listen to Dylan's songs since I was 10 years old and I am 54 now.The first time I heard Susan Tedeschi.. the best version I've ever heard so far...great voice..very nice
Agree totally!
I just covered this song! If you've got a second to check it out, that would be awesome! Long time Dylan fan here :)
Peter , Paul and Mary song, way back in the sixties
Bob Dylan song, actually, but yes, PP&M had a hit with it.
@Shane Brown thanks for correcting me, should have known this, I'm a fan of Dylan.
The 4 Seasons...stop... Dylan owns this...stop
@mobeau69 Dylan may have written it but he couldn't sing it like this. The 4 Seasons recorded under the name of the 'Wonder Who' and it was a JOKE! LOL
Susan's is bluesier; Dylan's is nastier.
Simply amazing....everything I have listened to is beautiful
