...it is about a woman. It's about the love of his life, whom he lost to cancer.

These lyrics are how I treated the woman I didnt know i loved in youth. I married her a decade later when I tracked her down hundreds of miles away. True story...she's is the One.

This is type of song that grows and changes with me through the years. Something new always pops out of this song as I go through life. I remember first time I heard this beautiful song on this video in 2010. I think it's amazing to see how this song seems to pull more and more people in, almost 15 years after its release. I think you could call this song transcendent.

I have never heard of Sun Kil Moon, until tonight, playing on NPR as I was driving home thru the beautiful Montana mountain night. This music gives me goosebumps and joy! I'm not able to make out the lyrics, but I will try to find a way.  Doesn't matter, anyway because the sound is so comforting.

So, the first time I heard this song I like was 18 and I couldn't understand anything he was saying. I just knew it was special. So, I hadn't listened to Sun Kil moon for along time then about when I was 22 I listen to this song again, and I could understand every lyric. It was super Bazaar. How you hear and what you hear in this song will change it's very interesting. I wish I could explain why it happens.
