Summer, Donna - All Through The Night Lyrics
[Spoken:]
You know, boy
You're so busy reaching for a dream
That doesn't even exist
You can't even see someone
Who loves you so much
And I've tried
Oh I've tried
But I want you to still know this
That all you got to do is reach out for me
And I'll be there
Anytime you want me
All through the night
Lay your head on my shoulder
And you feel the magic
Don't be afraid
Quit searchin'
Anticipatin'
Stop reachin'
For that distant star
I been waiting
Boy don't pass the moment
The light's right before your very eyes
All through the night
Lay your head on my shoulder
You can make love to my mind
And if you feel the magic
Don't be afraid
Quit dreamin'
You're so mistaken
A perfect stranger
Will never call
Stop wishin'
If you want let good be
Me waiting at your door
All through the night
Lay your head on my shoulder
You can make love to my mind
And if you feel the magic
Don't be afraid
All through the night
Lay your head on my shoulder
You can make love to my mind
And if you feel the magic
Don't be afraid
Stop searchin' boy
Stop searchin'
Stop searchin', yeah
Stop searchin', oh yeah
Why don't you stop it
Quit searchin', anticipatin'
Stop reachin'
For that distant star
I've been waitin'
Boy don't pass the moment
The lights right before your very eyes
All through the night
Lay your head on my shoulder
You can make love to my mind
And if you feel the magic
Don't be afraid
All through the night
Lay your head on my shoulder
You can make love to my mind
And if you feel the magic
Don't be afraid
Stop searchin'
Stop searchin'
Stop searchin'
Stop searchin'
Stop searchin'
Cause I'm right here

Ela era de uma apresentação fora do comum linda Donna.!
The Diva was a musical genius. Period all stop.
Donna Summer was my favourite, i just liked the aggression.
Che album favoloso...la musica e'un dono di Dio e Donna ne fu'la dispensatrice piu'completa..
I suoi lenti sono di una dolcezza sublime....che ti fanno innamorare.....peccato nessuno riesca a scaricare...nobody.....
This song came to mind while I was thinking about a young lady I'm becoming friends with at work. Such a great soul rock performance from the Queen of Disco.
One of Donna's best ballads.
Oh Got how great she was! The absolute Disco Queen will live for ever in our hearts and memories!
If you can't sing it hummmmmmmmm
Absolutely impressive!!! My son was „conceived” whileme and my wife listening to this record, in 1981...
LOVE LOVE, C' EST DELICIEUX
Lonesome and alone in my 6' by 4' bunk in the dark student's hostel in '81 and listening to this song with half filled stomach but taken into a trance by this voice.....Tnx to God that I am still alive today but I pray everyday for the wonderful friends I lost along the way....Those that are still alive I remember you everyday as I remember Donna Summer for putting happiness on the table of our lives
+gerald nwaneri Glad she was there for you!
I believed she was there for you too....I loved her so much that i wrote a ton of letters to her way back in the 70s and 80s through her Casablanca label...i know she never received them

If you weren't there for the Disco Era, its hard to describe what it was like. There was a certain freedom and escapism particularly from all the Watergate and Vietnam stuff. It was the beginning of the Harvey Milk days; gay liberation; feminism; love the one you are with. And yeah, coke kind of took over from pot too. But mostly it started what Andy Warhol said about everybody getting their 15 minutes. Every little dinky bar/tavern turned overnight into a "disco"; all you needed was a glitter ball, really and like Saturday Night Fever, you too could be a star. What is amazing is how short it lasted and so did the illusion, really.
Most Romantic Song. I LOVE IT.
Remember late nights in 1979,this song turned down low in my college dorm room with my girl!
