Sugarloaf - Green-Eyed Lady Lyrics
Green-eyed lady, lovely lady
Strolling slowly towards the sun
Green-eyed lady, ocean lady
Soothing every raging wave that comes
Dressed in love, she lives for life to be
Green-eyed lady feels life I never see
Setting suns and lonely lovers free
Green-eyed lady, wind-swept lady
Rules the night, the waves, the sand
Green-eyed lady, ocean lady
Child of nature, friend of man
Green-eyed lady, passion's lady
Green-eyed lady feels life I never see
Setting suns and lonely lovers free

To think I lived in sugarloaf (by Big Bear) and never realized that is the name of this group (I was born just a few years late).
Now, the little town, it's not a child of nature anymore, just a suburb of LA...
I remember my brother bringing this home for us to listen to it. After the song was over he said someone wrote a song about you. Yes, I have green eyes.

Oiseau, Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. This was my favorite song as a kid, I remember I would listen to the radio for hours hoping they would play this song again. They played the entire extended version to, not all chopped up like they do now for commercials. My Mother passed away on Christmas day in 2015, and my older brothers wife passed away on MLK day in 2019. Always say what you need to say to someone when they are alive, tell someone how much they are loved. Although some of our loved ones are gone, their spirit lives on in us, the memories we will always cherish. Know that you are not alone, and our loved ones are in a better place, and their spirit will always be in our heart. Thank you for sharing this moment with us Oiseau, may you be lifted up during this time, and may you find comfort always. MJ from the western slope of Colorado.
@faithisme speaks thank you so much very appreciative for you and I'm also very sorry for your losses as well it's very hard for me especially a 16 year old but it's better then not be in this shame ful world and that's lit I'm also from Colorado

green eyed lady...
okay maybe hazel green blue
and by the way my eyes are blue
why is it about me
Music made now just does not have the hearts or the soul of the people in real life, its like bottled water we have it,people resell it to us in a NEW IMPROVED label. What it lacks is talent- what we are abel torelate to as a happy memory, not a have got hey look at me. I will allways love the Talent that went into the songs Concept sung to us as Music.
This is the best thing I've ever heard.
this is a great track
Green-Eyed Lady Sugarloafer one of the best 70 songs ever true greatness

Great music
As a green eyed lady 💚 I naturally love this killer song.
Great 👍 song
music sucks these days...what the hell happened?
I blame Donald Trump.
That drummer, as the Dude would say, "really ties the room together".
I almost feel sorry for the hip hop morons. But only almost.
My favorite bass line of all time.
The joy of finding awesome stuff at random.. Savoy brown is also 1 of them
If you listened to Rock in 1970, you knew this song. My brother told me about Savoy Brown. Never got into them.
@Frank Jones stay while the night is young, that's an good song
Sugarloaf 4-ever !
Man, this sounds most excellent- clean, clear and punchy- through headphones. If you're just listening through your laptop speakers- which I usually do also, btw- go grab your headphones or quality buds! You won't be sorry.
Absolutely. Nearly as good as any sound system without waking the neighbors. Never sounded this clear when 1st released.
Wow then you must be at least my age waited a long time you must be in your fifties by now
Loana is my green eyed baby
Ah Yes, My year in "Nam.
Welcome home, brother. I was in Phu Bai 68-69.

Steely Dan song FM song should be rewritten and lyrics changed a bit. Should be "No music at alllll. NO music at all!!"
Anyone sing this to their green eyed lady cat?
This song will forever fuckin' rock
Armonia rock

The 70’s = pop songs & disco
Nah, that was just an 8th of the 70s, dilbert.
One of my favorite songs, especially this version!!
We walked to everywhere. Malls and such. I had a transistor radio. This tune came on one night. These were times when no one thought twice of walking ( in the dark ) with a friend or two to buy a slice of pizza and a soft drink for under one dollar. Great pizza. Great times. Movies were .50 cents a pop.
The first song I'm remember listening on my dad's am radio....to this day nothing compares to it
1.1K people listen to Miley Cyrus instead. Ewwwww
Dated a girl back in early 70's all I remember is she had beautiful grn. eyes

Jerry Corbetta, genial musician. I hear his excellent music since 1.970. Eternal music. Magic. 👏🏻🎸🎶

Back at a time when the Hammond organ could dominate the electric guitar.

I was 14 yrs old in Central America, we always love the music, this classic was one of them 🎸🇸🇻
Excellent song. People speaks about the old years, old song, old this, old that; but in reality this music is as actual as we feel it. Beautiful.
What a shame there's no video.

You find a pilot Melanie?
am I the only 20 year old listening. this oregon in this is awesome.
I'm 60 and I still get a kick out of this classic. You need to let the cat out of the bag to others your age. Most have no idea what they missed in 70s music.
Totaly. Most new music sounds the same to me, and this always helped me get bad songs out of my head.
